1st time playing and was in a hurry. Staff was great and gave me great welcome. Played early and beat the mowers which made a putting a problem. Fairways we’re almost to point where you had to roll everything. Greens not very good. Lots of bare spots & weeds. Overall it worked perfectly since I didn’t have much time and had to play fast. Some very interesting holes.

Not Good. So Slow
The staff was very good given COVID restrictions. One of the slowest rounds I've ever played. Need to walk off after a 3 hour front 9.

Greens are choppy
The staff was great, food at the ninth hole was key! The course is challenging that requires well place tee shots. The biggest issue, however, is regardless of how well you tee off and place your ball where it needs to be, when you get to the Green....you will a lose a stroke per hole due to poor greens. They are horrible. easily cost me 12 strokes. i 4 putted a green for the first time in my life and had 2 3 putts which i rarely ever have one 3 putt in a round. Each person in our foursome was complaining about the greens.

Decent local course on its way to getting better.
This course is better than it was 2 years ago. The new owners have been reinvesting money into the course and have made some significant improvements. Minebrook now drains much better than it did before. The difficult to keep greens have been undergoing continual work to make them better.
One of the best parts of the course is it’s relaxed environment which makes it very friendly and good for all level golfers. The folks are friendly and welcoming.

Great course - Very Friendly!
I had an amazing time playing this course today. From the extremely friendly starter- to the nice course all in all it was a great day and a great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Save your money
The course was absolute garbage. The tee boxes were rock hard. You needed a hammer to get your tee into the ground. The fairways were poorly kept, there was more crabgrass on the fairway than crabs in the entire ocean. And the greens looked like they havent been water or maintenanced in over a year. I played with a foursome yesterday for 50 dollars and felt like my whole entire house got robbed. The only good thing to happen on the course was we got to watch a fight happen. I 100% do not recommend this course to anybody. Save your money and go play mini golf

Good value
If you want to just get out and hit the ball around it’s not bad. Greens are super slow and tee boxes don’t have much grass. Pace of play was good for Weekday morning.

Getting Better!
This has always been a nice friendly place to go, especially for locals, but it also had it's drawbacks that are sometimes left unimproved. This year, the course is getting better thanks to the new course manager. I've seen sprinklers in places that I've never seen before (I'm told many were hidden). Kudos to the manager on that. One of the drawback this year and in the last few years are the greens. I'm told that the manager wants to upgrade them but his hands are tied. It's a shame because the fairways are so much improved. I don't know who controls the funding, but whoever it is, you're keeping a relatively small investment from making Mine Brook take a big step forward. I have out of town friends who I play with often (I drive 45-60 minutes one way to play with them). We're used to playing on courses with true greens, and they're in the same price range as Mine Brook. I have never invited them to play Mine Brook because, although they would like the layout, they wouldn't like the greens.
