We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Thank you for choosing Minebrook Golf Club. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time!
Good but great for the money
Had some fun holes and you can't beat the bang for the buck. Greens need a little work but not too bad
Great pace of play, easy booking, but...
I would rate this 3.5 if I could. There were no issues booking or paying. Two major issues though, the main one being the greens were in really poor shape. The other problem is that some of the cart path wooden bridges are in dire need of repair; some of them are borderline unsafe in my opinion.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Decent course
This course has a nice layout but the course conditions were terrible.
Little more work on green
Green needs some work. Some portable toilets would be nice. A vending machine for drinks would be nice to avoid man to man interaction.
I had good time there.

Great Staff and Great Course Value
I retired a year and a half ago and joined Minebrook last Spring as a weekday member. There is no better value for golf on God's green earth. One extremely reasonable fee and no other costs what-so-ever... no cart fees no initiation fee no nothing, just show up, check in and play. I played in excess of 150 rounds last year and never had so much fun in my life! The staff are all awesome! I even booked a Sweet Sixteen party for my daughter there and the party was unbelievably fantastic, good food, reasonably priced and Courtney took care of everything. My hat's off to the entire staff for an fantastic year. (I joined again this year as you might have guessed.)
Thank you for taking the time to review us, Dan! Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. Minebrook Golf Club thanks you!
great course, great staff
I've been playing here for several tears now. I only play on weekdays, so my review is based upon that experience. The course is challenging for me and the staff is great.
Best Value
Chad and Jeff in the pro shop are ACES! Friendly knowledgeable and on top of things. Course conditions were decent considering the time of year I played. Can’t beat the value. North Jersey’s best kept secret.

Nice course for the value
I play this course on a regular basis. Great value for the money spent. Great people that work there. Leagues are fun and well organized.
Thank you for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear this course is one of your favorites! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Minebrook Golf Club!
Out of towner, thought it was great!
My father grew up in Hackettstown, and we happened to be in town for a family event, so we snuck out to play a round. It was a beautiful, if blazingly hot, day and the course played really well. It had rained not too many days prior, so the course was in excellent shape. Thick rough and some interesting hole layouts made this course challenging for someone playing it for the first time, but it was extremely fun. If we happen to make it out that way again, would love to play the course again!
The course has great amenities for the price you pay
Played here several times before and the course is in great shape. Well maintained
Staff were very helpful and friendly
Short But Challenging
The course is one which is relatively short but you can get into a lot of trouble with errant shots. The greens had problems with fungus during the latter part of the year but I expect it will be back to normal in 2020. The course personnel are outstanding and personable. It's an outstanding value for the average golfer.
Excellent Staff, Great Value
I play this course very often and love the challenges some of the holes present. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the value is incredible. Rarely pace of play can be an issue but that isn't Minebrook's fault. The course also has great weekend outings for a great price that include golf, cart, a meal, and prizes. The tee boxes can be rock hard and a couple of the greens that don't get much sun have a difficult time staying in perfect shape the entire year. If you can't get a weekday round in, do yourself a favor and sign up for one of the monthly (usually) public outings they host. It's a great time and the value can't be beat.
Great value for winter golf
First time playing this course. Used a set of loaner clubs. The fairways and the grounds were soaked but that can be expected for winter time play. I was able to hit a 3 wood off the par 4 tees and even the long par 5 hole 18. It was more important to have a controlled tee shot in the fairway as most of the holes had narrow fairways. Trees lines most of the holes, and the elevation changed with each hole. A lot of elevated genes. I really enjoyed all changes in elevation. The tee boxes were worn out and mostly mud. The Greens were well taken care of for winter conditions. They were rolling about a 6 or 7. I had to fix a bunch of other golfers ball marks. It’s one of my pet peaves. It’s a par 70 course but very challenging. I shot a 94. 4 above my handicap. But I took an 8 on the front and a 7 on the back. I had 5 pars and a bunch of bogies and a few double bogies. Not bad for loaner clubs in winter conditions. I was just happy to be able to play!

Typical NJ in November
The rockhard tee boxes were expected from other reviews. What I never saw coming was the similarity rock hard fairways and greens. The ground is frozen now so the balls were rolling sometimes an extra 10 yards. On the first back nine par 3, my tee shot landed 5 yards in front of the flag. It then bounced over the flag and ended up off the green. I could literally bounce the ball like a basketball on the greens. Not the course's fault but the sparseness of grass in places didn't help. Be aware if playing in winter, hit it 10 yards short and let it roll. There are no hole markers which made my first round there constantly lost as far as where to go. Thank goodness for my Garmin gps watch to help figure out where i was.
