Early in season
The course was not in great shape yet. The bunkers were full of leaves, there were tire tracks on some (soft, muddy) fairways. Somewhat expected given how early in the season it is.
leaves, leaves, and more leaves
Course was covered in water and leaves. Weren’t able to find some shot that were right down the middle of the fairway.
Course going South
I have played on the course few times over the last 2-3 years but never coming back .All the greens had more sand on them than the bunkers. The aeration was done wrong. You had to clean the sand of the putter on every green. Is is no more a $50 course , maybe 25-30$ no more.
Falling apart
I've played this course half a dozen times this year and was astonished to see the condition of the course. Its been rainy, but you can see the rocks/base of the sand traps (amongst all the overgrown weeds, and about 1/2 were filled with water and not even an attempt to be drained), there was not a dry fairway on the course and mud/ non playable areas EVERYWHERE. The greens have a lot of weeds/ bare spots and the fringes are half dead! This place is a great value for the money when its in decent shape but I will probably wait until next season to play this course again.
Great Course for Value
Really enjoyed the course as it was a pleasant surprise giving challenge with a variety of different layouts per hole. There were a number of hills but the greens were even making putting reasonable. I would recommend water coolers in the sweltering heat and clean porta johns.
Pace of play issues
Joined up with a flat belly who wanted to play the tips. I accommodate him since I hadn't played from those markers before. They were very weedy but at least they had growth on them. It was a fun experience and provided more challenge than the whites. The round took over 5.5 hours. The twosome I started with bailed at the 13th hole. After 4.25 hours. Lucky for me there was another twosome behind me that joined up. I hadn't had a round like this here in a long time. Spoiled an otherwise enjoyable round.
Love this course
Love playing this course. The scenery is beautiful, the pace of play is good. They leave you alone and the course is challenging.
The one thing I would knock is the tee boxes. A lot of them are not really in good shape. They could use some TLC. Other than that, you should enjoy this place. I happily keep going back.
Great day of golf
First time at this course and I played with a wonderful gentleman who turned out to be a local....what a great round and group of friends I met...definitely will return
Nice layout course, easy to hit, reachable par 4 in 2 strokes, and par 5 in 3 strokes , beautiful trees and hill tops.
Great course for the price!
Tee boxes could use some work. Other than that, the course was in excellent condition for late in the season. Staff was friendly & pace was good. Will return for another round.
Great place, great price
This was my second time there, first time is just as good as the last. Pace was good, you
May have to go around one or two slow groups but everybody's very easy-going, course is great, had some challenging as well as some easy shots. Will definitely be back.
Minebrook Great golf
Course was in good condition, greens were excellent, staff is fantastic, Pace of round was great Good food good drink will come back
Still worth the trip
Best price locally for a public course. Was in decent shape, a couple of the tee boxes and fairways needed some work but otherwise, course played well. Tee times are only 8 minutes apart but the course ranger stayed on top of the slower groups.
Pace of Play
Was expecting better from this course. Seemed like the fairways weren't cut consistently throughout the course but enjoyed the layout of the course and some of the challenging holes.
The pace of play was horrible though. We waited 15 minutes or more on a couple of holes and the course was overcrowded. It wasn't until the trail end of the course that we actually were able to move smoothly. The weather was perfect so that could of been the cause of an abnormally busy day
Would play here again but would try to play during off hours when its less crowded
