Chippewa Golf Club
About
Established in 1926, Chippewa Golf Club in Curtice is one of the area's oldest courses. The course was designed by Toledo native Harold Weber, who was a four-time Ohio amateur champion and the city's first famous golfer. The layout has retained its traditional design and feel characterized by tree-lined fairways and small greens framed by strategically placed bunkers. In addition to the bunkers, there are two creeks that wind along the length of the golf course, coming into play on 15 holes. Golfers should be prepared for some tricky carries on the water holes. Though there are some holes that will make you think, Chippewa is a classic layout that players of all skill levels can enjoy. There are five sets of tees to make it even more approachable.

Fun day
The course is in great shape considering all of the spring rain. We had a great time. Highly recommend
Improvements noted... thank you!
I golfed with a friend this past weekend. The sun was shining. The temperatures were great! But the wind was crazy! All that said, we noted improvements: new tee box markers, trees removed, and new ones planted. Greens were in better shape, cart paths improved or added on some holes. The old bridge on 11 was replaced and widened and a sprinkler system added on that fairway. All good signs to the golfer who wants to continue to come out! Thank you!
Great condition
Course was in great shape for the time of year! Nice driving range as well.
Best bang for your buck.
Staff is always super friendly and the course is very well maintained. They’re working on one of the holes and I’m sure it’ll look awesome soon like the rest of them.
Definitely best bang for your buck surprisingly affordable for as nice as the course is.
Decent for the money
Greens weren't bad. Fairways a little hard but definitely worth the price of admission
Fun, affordable course
Been here multiple times. Nice laid back atmosphere, course in great shape. Overall a great place to golf
ANOTHER NICE DAY
COURSE WAS IN DECENT SHAPE CONSIDERING WE HAVEN'T SEEN RAIN FOR A WHILE. STILL NICE TO BE OUT THERE!
My round at Chippewa
Had a great time really enjoyed the course the negative is the tee boxes they were in need of a little TLC.
On the road to recovery
I had been 'a regular' at Chippewa for a few years. That is, until June. The course, especially the greens were showing sign of neglect. So I decided that I wasn't going to continue to play the course until something changed.
Well, after two months I had heard from someone that there had been some changes. I decided to go back to see for myself. The condition of the tee boxes and greens were improving. The fairways were, once again, well maintained. It appears 'the changes' made have begun to make a difference. Thank you guys!
Beautiful Day On The Course
Course was in good shape. I just need to get better!
Pace of play needs work
This was my second time playing Chippewa and while I enjoyed the course overall, there are some things that need attention. The course layout was pretty straight forward, however there were 2 areas of confusion for me. There needs to be a sign or something indicating which direction hole 4 was located. I had to make an educated guess. The 2nd, and most confusing is where holes 12, 17 & 18 seemingly intersect. There were signs, arrows etc. but it did seem to be a very congested area. My main concern is the pace of play which was terrible. This is a public course and we are not professionals, but having to wait 10-15 minutes to tee off at every tee box seems excessive to me. There needs to be a Marshall/Ranger to move things along. Those complaints aside, I like the course and would recommend to a friends
