Brookledge Golf Club
About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

Great Golf value in Akron
Played here a few times with my brother this past summer. Worth a 30 minute drive from the east side of Cleveland.
Nice course layout, rolling hills, some interesting holes and decent length 6600 yds black tees. Some great green complexes too (one humpback on the back 9 think it was the short par 4 13th).
Super value at $25 cart for 18.
Play it.
Late September Review
Brookledge is a muni course owned and operated by Cuyahoga Falls. It was designed by famed golf course architect Arthur Hills, it is laid out in a valley and has nice elevation changes a most of the holes. Holes are well thought out and most require experience and strategy to score well. It is a very fun course to play, with limited hazards and more width than it appears, its really enjoyable. They are making changes, adding bunkers and other improvements, very nicely done.
The conditions are always top notch. I was told they would aerate Oct. 2 & 3, so be aware of that the first week or so of October. It was busier this year than past years with other local courses closing, but I was told it has slowed down quite a bit since football season started.

Late August Review
Brookledge is a fun Arthur Hills designed Muni in Cuyahoga Falls. The conditions are as good as you will find at any muni course. It has good elevation changes, and a nice mix of holes. The conditions were great, fairways, greens, tees, and sand all excellently maintained. We played at 9am, and the greens were fastest and most difficult to read on the first few holes. Once the morning dew was dried out everywhere they were much more consistent.
The course always seems to be packed these days, because it is a nice course and several courses in the area closed this year.
It is a top 20 public course according to Golf Cleveland Ohio.
This Course Needs Rangers
This was my second time playing Brookledge I had not played it in several years due to a very slow round the first time so me and my brother decided to give it another chance and nothing has changed. We both played pretty well and the single guy that was teamed up with us was a nice guy and he played okay as well but I feel a 5 hour round is just ridiculous.I know alot of players are playing from the wrong set of tees and that is not the courses fault but when I see a 6 some 3 holes ahead of me and a 5 some in front of them that does not make for fast play.It seamed when we arrived at the clubhouse after our round they are acquainted with these golfers so guess they let them hold a whole golf course hostage.Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me I will never go back nice course too so that is a shame. Cuyahoga Falls hope those city workers get paid minimum wage to run a decent course in the ground.
Good day
Course in great shape: moderate difficulty. Good greens
Very slow play but course was in decent condition
Greens were very inconsistent from hole to hole. Course has some challenging holes.
Miserable golf course
Rough too long. Great shots and you can't find your ball. Rough way too long for the average player. Greens lighting fast and dried out. Good value for the money but too difficult of a course for the average golfer.
A Muni Gem
I play a lot of different golf courses in NE Ohio and just started playing Brookledge last year. Overall, a very nice golf course - 'longest' 5900 yards you will ever play. Course conditions were excellent today - Greens in perfect shape! Friendly staff!
Starters, Rangers - all helpful and friendly
Such a good value - mature trees, pretty views, different type holes...Only issue is the course is 'under sloped' - should be 120 - 122!!!!
Trouble with GolfNow booking at course
Arrived at course with confirmation number from golfnow......was told they don't use that.....told me my time was 124 when it was 116 on my reservation. Told me I was assigned with another threesome.....but my reservation was for two of us.......was told booked for 9 holes.....but my reservation was for 18........just quite a mixed-up experience. The course did give me a rain check for the other nine with no problem, however had planned and wanted to play 18. Staff made me feel that I didn't know what I had booked when in actuality, it was their error with golfnow. Had to wait on every hole, backed up two to three sets of golfers. The rough was really "rough". This is the first time that I have ever had a problem with a course booked through Golf Now.
Starter
He was very pleasant, but let a 5 some out in front of us. He asked them to do a 2 and 3 some , but they refused and played their 5 some. At the turn we complained about this. He did nothing but suggest we skip a hole or two to get in from of them. Then try to make up the skipped holes when we finished. I declined and went home.
Brookledge
Nice course. Fairways were in very good shape. Rough was thick but doable. Greens were fast. Only complaint was golers there must be too good to fix their own ball marks.
My favorite local course
I live in Cuyahoga Falls and play this course frequently. The course in in fantastic condition. They have great practice facilities. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The pro, Eric Madden is a great guy . They are very friendly to Junior golfers too. This Arthur Hills design is fun and challenging and features lots of variety. Please play up a tee box or two. You will score better and have more fun. My only complaint is this course is super busy most of the time and pace of play can be gruelingly slow. I wish they would try to speed up play through less tee times and encouraging players to play from the white tees. Overall a standout course in the area. Not to be missed!
One of my favorites
this course is always well-maintained. There is a nice variety of holes each with a unique challenge. Some good risk/reward holes too.
Staff consistently friendly. One of my favorites and I go here at least once every 2 weeks or more.
Late March Review
I was able to get out on the course first this Sunday morning. Rain was predicted, but it was clear and calm. Despite all of the rain and snow we had received the course was fairly dry. Not once did get into a spot where it was soggy enough to swallow my shoes. The Fairways and rough were in mid-season shape. The greens were inconsistent and bumpy, but with the recent weather, not that surprising.
This course is one of my favorites in the area because it is beautiful and fun to play. Not the longest course, and not extremely difficult, but I never walk away feeling like I is missing something. This is probably due to the Arthur Hills design, which gives your eye many different looks from the tee. One of the best maintained public courses around, I cannot wait to play it again during the golf season.
BROOKLEDGE
It is a nice coures, but was very busy. The tees were not managed well as it took us almost 3 hours to play the first nine and only completed a couple holes on the second nine. they had us start on hole 10.
the price we paid for was not much less than their winter rate so it was not a good value as we did not complete the entire 18 holes.
slow play
We had to play in back of an outing. Really not what i expected on a saturday afternoon. They should have not had open play with the outing going on.
Brookledge
Good track and the greens were in very good shape. Just not cut becasue of the weather
