Brookledge Golf Club
About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

A great layout and conditioning
In my opinion by far this is one of the best public golf courses in NE Ohio for the money. A great layout by the famed architect Arthur Hills that is maintained by a very knowledgeable golf staff. The course is always in excellent condition and the greens are kept at a great pace and roll true. The staff here is very friendly and professional and playing here they make you feel like a member at a country club (been there and done that for years and this is a better value). Pace of play is usually pretty darn good for both walkers (like me) and people in carts (occasionally). The course is set in a valley that tree lined with very, very few houses and will test every club in your bag. Standing on the tees of every hole and viewing the layout of the holes and surrounding environment is wonderful tasting eye candy.
I repeat, great layout, conditioning and even more important a really great staff. One final note, Eric the teach pro in less than 30 minutes fixed my hybrid swing.
Warm regards,
Mark
Great condition
Course was in great condition for fall. Green were very receptive and true.
Really good
This course is in really good shape. It could be excellent if people would REPAIR BALL MARKS. Bunkers have perhaps too much sand, and a Donald Ross-like shape. Variety of holes, and tee distances. Cleveland MetroParks is what I consider minimum acceptable conditions, and Cuyahoga Falls exceeds that with probably similar traffic.
Meticulous conditions
I play this course at least once a week. Always in excellent condition, from the range to the track!! Top 3 public coursein the Akron canton area
This course is in good condition
Every time we play this course it is all backed up! A group of 4 men held up at least 5 groups! They were so rude and obviously did not care that they held us all up! On some holes you would have thought they were putting for a championship! AND they played the back tees and their balls were all over the place which they took their time looking for! Called the ranger who talked to them but we ended up quiting after 15 holes....could not take the long wait one more hole! Maybe a starter would help this course manage their groups better! Extremely frustrating day on this course for us!
Slow play
The pace of play was slow maybe it was impacted by the long grass which made it difficult to find your ball if you weren't in the fairway.
SLOW
Took us 3 hours to play 9 holes. Multiple groups in front that had no sense of pace. Starter was letting groups with walkers and groups of 5 out. Then tells us to pick up the pace on the 4th hole as there are two groups on the 5 tee. Made the turn and on hole 10 and 11 there were 5 groups combined. Conditions were great but really sad to see a course like this have this negligence on a Sunday! Later found starter was friends with groups of 5 and just let them go. Thanks for thinking of everyone on the course.
Great greens
Conditions were excellent, except for all the unrepaired ball marks on the greens. Greens were fast and true. Pace of play was a bit on the slow side.
Course was in great shape considering the spring weather. Tees were a little beat up, but the rest of the course was better than expected. Always a great value.
MIXED
Found this course in Golfnow, however, they didnt have any updated information about course conditions. Once i arrived at the course, then i was told that i had to play the back 9 twice instead of the entire 18 unless i was walking...BIG TIME BUMMER since it was my first time playing the course. So i have a mixed review, i would of played somewhere closer instead of wasting a 45min drive each way to play a new course
The course has great green and wonderful for Feb.
The staff is the best in this area, many course don"t care for Golf Now customer because they don't make money off of you and sometime will force you to play in golf now times only. But Brookledge is very good to us.
Fun course to plat
This course isn't terribly difficult but does have some challenging holes. You will use all the clubs in your bag. This course plays kind of short so choosing the correct tees is a factor. This course was in good shape for the time of year. The staff is friendly and pace of play was acceptable. Absolutely will play again and again.
Great Golf value in Akron
Played here a few times with my brother this past summer. Worth a 30 minute drive from the east side of Cleveland.
Nice course layout, rolling hills, some interesting holes and decent length 6600 yds black tees. Some great green complexes too (one humpback on the back 9 think it was the short par 4 13th).
Super value at $25 cart for 18.
Play it.
Late September Review
Brookledge is a muni course owned and operated by Cuyahoga Falls. It was designed by famed golf course architect Arthur Hills, it is laid out in a valley and has nice elevation changes a most of the holes. Holes are well thought out and most require experience and strategy to score well. It is a very fun course to play, with limited hazards and more width than it appears, its really enjoyable. They are making changes, adding bunkers and other improvements, very nicely done.
The conditions are always top notch. I was told they would aerate Oct. 2 & 3, so be aware of that the first week or so of October. It was busier this year than past years with other local courses closing, but I was told it has slowed down quite a bit since football season started.

Late August Review
Brookledge is a fun Arthur Hills designed Muni in Cuyahoga Falls. The conditions are as good as you will find at any muni course. It has good elevation changes, and a nice mix of holes. The conditions were great, fairways, greens, tees, and sand all excellently maintained. We played at 9am, and the greens were fastest and most difficult to read on the first few holes. Once the morning dew was dried out everywhere they were much more consistent.
The course always seems to be packed these days, because it is a nice course and several courses in the area closed this year.
It is a top 20 public course according to Golf Cleveland Ohio.
