Brookledge Golf Club
About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

Always in good condition
Every time I play this course it's in tip top Shape...
Great course, Friendly staff, tough undulating greens
Great design and layout. very fair and fun tee to green. The greens are very undulating and fast on may greens. Perhaps too much slope to be considered a course to play tournament golf on. Staff is great. Practice facilities are great. Club house is simple with nice food and beverage selections. Front nine is very hilly and challenging to walk . Back nine is more walkable. The only real downside of this course is slow play on weekend play times. it has taken me 6 hours to complete a weekend round. pick the not busy time for a better playing experience. overall great course.
Excellent course
I played on what I expected to be a busy Sunday afternoon, but the pace of play was outstanding. No delays at all. The course is extremely well maintained. It is a bit pricey, so try to book a hot deal. I played for $30 for a day that usually would cost $47. I will continue to play this course throughout the summer as long as I can keep booking hot deals!

As a local player I have found myself playing here more often than any other place in the area because it is well maintained, operated and groomed. Water drains very well so a rainy morning will not keep you off the course in the afternoon. The bunkers are well maintained and the greens typically roll fast and are highly underrated. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the practice area is maintained at a high level for a public golf course.
Excellent course
One of my favorite layouts in the area. Great value too. You can play on a weekend afternoon for about $25 for 18 and a cart. Beautiful golf holes and a good challenge lead to a great day of golf. Greens are beautiful, very undulated, and fast. Quite difficult to hole a putt from outside of 10 feet. The course has some length as well if played from the tips. They aerated the greens the on 3/7/2016, with the smaller holed aerator and sanded the greens. Even with the holes, the greens are still fast and true.
They have a large driving range as well.
Mitigating factors are always relevant.......
Per reviews that I had read on GolfAdvisor and recommendations of people I had met, I decided to book a round at Brookledge Golf Club and found a rate that I couldn't pass on.
After making the 50 minute ride to Cuyahoga Falls from Westlake, I found out that the back nine was closed for aeration. I was disappointed but not upset because in Northeast Ohio, it is that time of year. I would be remiss if I didn't state that the pro shop offered to refund my purchase due to the aerification limiting my playing the front nine twice but I chose to stay and play. I took 25 minutes to warm up with a small bucket on their grass tee range. The practice range teeing area was in great shape and freshly mowed......kudos to the grounds maintenance personnel!
With regards to the course (front nine), I enjoyed the layout and was pleasantly surprised to find that there were very few areas of damp/soggy turf after the amount of precipitation that had fallen on the preceding Friday/Saturday and Sunday morning. If I did incur one of the aforementioned areas they were relegated to the rough. Bunkers were in really good shape as well.
The greens lived up to their reputation of rolling fast and true with undulation that needs more break accounted for than what you will read.
The pace of play was a little slower than that of my liking BUT, that was directly attributable to the fact that they were forced to send everyone out on the same nine due to the aerating of the back. Having noted this, I did have two groups ask and allow me to play through, as I was a single.
I was also extremely gratified by the amiable and professional demeanor of the staff members. The clubhouse is modest and comfortable with indoor/outdoor seating areas available and nice views of the course.
I plan on visiting Brookledge next Spring and I will recommend that others lend serious consideration in doing the same.
To those who feel that a golf course has to offer a minimum yardage of 6,700 yards to be considered a true test........you're wrong.
My thanks to all of the staffers at Brookledge Golf Club......I enjoyed my visit......!
Satisfied customer
Great experience. Out cart died on the front 9 but we saw the ranger driving by. We flagged him down and we had a new art before we finished the hole!
Good Golf Experience
While a little on the short side (measuring 6300 yards from the longest tees), the course still presents challenges. Good bunkering (excellent sand), undulating greens (fast and true), and some holes in wooded areas. Fun course to play and presented an opportunity to score well. Would totally recommend it for any level of golfer.
Well maintained fairways and greens
Challenging course with multiple tees for every level of golfer. Well maintained fairways and greens.
Hidden Gem
Love playing this course. Played twice in a seven day period. The fairways were cut nice and tight. The greens were consistent. Staff was extremely friendly.
Love the back nine
Great course, 3 birdies all day. Greens putt very true. Rough is too thick for my liking but should be hitting in the fairway anyways
Great Course
Even though it was misting for 18 or the 27 we played the course was in very good condition. Nice variety of tough holes. This is a course that you can;t just swing away with a wild shot and still expect a good outcome. Very scenic and I very much enjoyed the golf. Worth the trip.
Average Track
This course is nice but it is laid out as your typical Ohio course. My friends rave about this course all the time so I was a little upset as I had higher expectations. The front plays really easy but the back is more difficult (more fairway bunkers). The greens were extremely slow, most of the par 4s were under 400 yards so driver/wedge will be your day.
Excellent Track
Excellent course w/ many fie holes. In great shape. Recommend to all golfers.
Sunday at Brookledge
Brookledge is a wonderful course that can be tight if you are spraying it off of the tee.
Great Muny Course
Cuyahoga Falls maintains the course very welll. Greens are fast and true. Fairways are very nice. Rough is thick but fair. Natural areas add visual beauty. Great Par 3s. A good test!
Fabulous condition
Brookledge is in awesome shape, challenging from tee to green. The green's are in country club condition and the staff was professional and very inviting. I recomend this course to everyone I know.
Great layout, great conditions, great time
Had the first tee time of the morning, seeing the course in front of you as the sun was rising was just the beginning to a great day. Clubhouse manager was super friendly. Maintenance staff was also very outgoing and helpful. The bunkering on the course is a definite sign of an Arthur Hills design. The greens have many undulations and are quite speedy. Brookledge is a well run and maintained muny worth checking out.
Pretty good
Nice course. Would recommend. Greens were challenging. Play here 2 or 3 times a year.
