About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Frost delay

Pace of Play Was Slow
Have played Delaware many times over the years. Played this round on an early spring day - one of the first nice weather days in Central Ohio. Pace of play was nearly 3 hours for 9 holes. Course is in decent shape for being so early in the season. Staff in the clubhouse are a little pretentious and can be intimidating for non-assertive golfers. I like the course and layout, but this course often over priced itself for what you get and there are better values elsewhere in Central Ohio.

The Donald Ross and Hurzdan/Fry nines are obviously very different, yet both are challenging and fair. I hadn't played the Ross course since my college days when OWU hosted their tournament here. It’s held up very well, as most Foss courses do.

Plenty of time to check emails
Played for the first time yesterday and enjoyed the course conditions and layout.. Course did not have enough carts. The course did not have a starter and getting off on first hole was a free for all.. Some holes backed up two groups deep.. charged for 18 holes... even though tee of time dictated a twilight rate.. Pace of play only allowed for 9 holes.. Staff was very misleading on delays and did not help the situation.. This course has potential but was poorly run on this date..

PLENTY OF TIME FOR EMAILS!!
Overall I thought the course layout was fun and conditions were good... On the down side, course did not have enough carts. we arrived and had to wait 20 min to get a cart.. A group ahead of us was waiting 45 min on the driving range to get their cart... No starter for a Saturday.. It was a free for all to start. A couple of groups ahead of us had argument on who was to start first.. Pace of play was ridiculous... Backed up on every hole and finally slowed down to two groups waiting on each hole.. Staff was not helpful and up front about the situation.. Finally, charged prime time 18 hole rate for what should have been twilight and ultimately became 9 holes...

You won’t be disappointed
The golf coarse today was in amazing shape.
Very clean, all leaves were blown. Fairways and greens were immaculate with great detail normally found at Some of the best courses in Ohio. I will be playing this coarse often. Great job Delaware gold club. A+.

This course have more hills than anywhere else in central Ohio, except Longaberger?, and a lot of water, so it's pretty challenging. The folks are nice, and handle the crowd well.

Oddly in less than good shape
tee boxes were a bit divoty, the fairway and greens were rock hard and unraked sand made bunker play iffy. My first less than stellar experience here so I will be back though
