About
Jamaica Run Golf Club offers one of the most challenging layouts in the Miami Valley. The difficult greens provide most of the trouble. They are small and hard to hit and on many holes they are elevated above the fairway, making it hard to play a run-up shot. The bentgrass fairways are spacious and thankfully more forgiving, but they are bordered by thick rough. Water hazards come into play on several holes. There is even one hole that crosses the meandering creek that runs through the golf course twice. The par-5 18th provides a memorable finish, requiring a tee shot past a large pond to a fairway that sits well below the pond. Finding the right club to use and a good spot to hit are nearly impossible.

Very nice course, Excellent value
This was my first time playing this course but it will not be my last. 7:37 am tee time and actually got off a little before. Was paired with 2 nice guys who had never played the course either. Some challenging tee shots that will reward you if you hit it big and take a chance. Greens were rolling smooth and true, fairways were nice, and rough was reasonable, not too punishing but you knew you were there. 18th hole is an odd one with a blind tee shot, with no prior knowledge of course, 2 of us drove it through the fairway. Will play this course again.
Pace of play
Somewhat disappointed that Rangers weren't available to assist the slower golfers speed up. We had to wait on every shot and we were a twosome and there were 3. The bunkers were in terrible shape.

Nice course, great value, bad pace
I have played this course many times over the years. It's in good shape and the value is awesome. The front 9 is a little quirky having 3 each of par 3, 4, 5, but I didn't mind it. The only issue with this course is the pace of play always seems slow. Outside of that, it's a good track for thd money.

My home course
I play here at least three times a week weather permitting. The staff are always friendly, would like to see the cart girls on the course more often. I sometimes run out of beer or ice before 18 holes is over. For the price this is an excellent course with some unique holes. Thank you for the drop area on hole 6. That seemed to be a bottle neck for pace of play. The after 6PM special is great. My wife and I and another couple come out several times on weekdays and a co- worker and I play every Saturday or Sunday. Keep up the good work. Would like for you to post outings on your web page so that we can come and support some of the community and school outings. Again thanks for a great experience. KH

Good value and experience
The LMG price made it worth the drive. Course was in good shape. Greens were rolling pretty fast but true. Didn't have to wait on any tee box.

An embarrassment!
A few years ago I said I would never spend another dollar at this course again. I was so appalled by the course conditions and the rudeness of the rangers, that I emailed the course. Well I golfed there again this week (because it was free for me) and nothing has changed. Huge clumps of dead grass littered the entire course to the point that it was difficult to distinguish my ball amongst the dead grass piles. Even clumps of dead grass on the greens. The rangers act as if they work at a country club yet the course conditions are appalling. It's shameful and an embarrassment to the sport. I can guarantee with 100% certainty that I will never spend another dollar here unless the course happens to come under new ownership. I would post pictures if I could. It's laughable.

Nice course for all types of golfers.
Course is not a country club but is out in the country. The usual weeds around but the fairways and greens were nice today. The last hole they needed to mow the hill on the other side of pond. Always hardest place to find your ball with all the dandelions. Tough to reach fairway for average golfers from the white tees.

course challenges
course was very nice for this time of year. our favorite hole is #18, a blind shot over a lake, then over a creek to the green.

Average course - great staff
Average course with old facilities. Staff was very friendly. Pace of play was slow as the foursome in front of us was holding up the entire course. If you are in the area it might be worth stopping by but I wouldn't go out of my way to play here.

One and done
First and last visit to this pasture. Unmowed tees, bare fairways, untended bunkers, very slow pace of play, yardages don't match scorecard, carts in poor condition.

Nice course
Couldn't play 18 because of aeration on the front 9, so had to go around twice. A good course that tests your short game skills. Greens are extremely small so you'll need to practice high loft swings on your short-game shots. Members were nice and offered much needed advice on each hole. The best hole on the back nine was #12 506 yds from the whites- lay up and select your approach carefully. Most interesting was 18, hitting over a levee that dog-rights hard.
Fun course
great course to play on. I will definitely come back. The pace of play was great and everything seemed well maintained. Only downside was I only saw the beverage cart on my very last hole and at that point it was too late for me to want to get anything. Other than that great experience
Charge $1.50 more and hand out green-tools....
It was an okay track, quite easy. The first 9 are all straight and wide, and even if you miss left or right you have shortish rough and just a few treas. Back 9 was more fun with a few other tee-shots than just a straight (driver) drive. They have some nice looking smaller pine treas around the course if that's your thing....
The ground was rock hard and some of the greens too. I had a high wedge shot bounce 20 feet up in the air of a green! Think this is due to a lack of water(ing). We also had a few lies that were on rock hard ground and had to be picked clean. Some greens were moist and softer... all greens had ugly ball marks and old cup marks.
The staff; pro-shop, starter, beer-cart-girl, watering-hole-lady, and even some course maintenance guys we met were all awesome!

Very well taken care of
The fairways were very green, short cut and really nice when your balls in the fairway. The rough was nice and green and not to tall. The bunkers were extremely nice lots of sand trimmed all the way around the outside. The greens were very nice not to hard and not to soft. In closing all around very nice course. Definitely will be going back.

Very slow pace of play. $16.5 rate was good. Course conditions not so good.
Not worth the money
Terrible round. Mixed league was teeing off on one nine, would not let us go off back nine, last group in league was 25 minutes late, would not let us play thru or again let us go off on back nine. Staff would not take initiative to help move along. I will not go back.
