Bunker Hill Round of Golf
Was quite pleased with the condition of the course. Prior times I have been there the pace of play was very slow on the weekends and the condition of the course was not up to standards. I will be going back more often to play,.
Great value
You can't beat the price and the pace of play The course was a bit soggy from all the rain T-boxes could use some work. All said and done a great value on a fun and fair course
Nasty Staff
This course does not treat golf now users friendly. Team you up with another golfer in 1 cart although you pay for two. Nasty lady didn't want to check me in till my tee time. Nasty lady and staff.
Greens are Kinda Difficult
Mostly elevated greens and not slow but often times fast. You need to land your ball on the right spot or you cannot guarantee a two putt.
Great Course
Played this course for the first time. The fairways are maintained very well. Some of the greens were a bit dried.
It is also a fairly easy course, especially if you are long hitter. Most Par 5s are reachable in 2, some par 4s are even drivable. There are hardly any water hazards.
The only issue I had was with pace of play. We had a foursome in front of us that were really really slow and I didn't see the Marshall come up to make them increase their pace.
Overall a great course if you are looking for an easy round of golf. Will definitely play here again.
Had'nt played here for over 15 years. The course was in really good shape they have a crew which know what they are doing. The fairways were plush and not chewed up. The greens were fast and hard even though it rained for the last 14 holes. After playing a few holes we hit it short and let it roll on since our shots would not hold. Greens were true and immaculate will be coming back soon and more than that.
Very Helpful Staff
Course was in beautiful shape regardless of other reviews. Carts were clean, golf course looked gorgeous. When I approached the front desk I mentioned it was my first time at the course. Alex went out of his way to explain to me which holes to leave the driver in the bag, where i wanted to aim for on a few holes, and even wrote his advice for the holes in the yardage book he gave me. I've never had anyone that helpful at ANY golf course! Cafe was clean and served great burgers! For the money, I feel there is no better course to play at.
Better!
I played Bunker Hill two weeks ago and the course was covered in goose droppings. The fairways are in great shape and green are in good shape now.
Believe me Bunker Hill is one of the above quality courses!
As the first time player from 25 miles away, I was impressed by the overall quality of the course as a senior bogie player. The course is short but has two each par 3 and par 5 in both front and back nine to make it a nice symmetry layout. Green was maintained above quality in early April Spring! At the first sight I fell in love with the course just like I did with Mountain View course 40 years ago, and Mercer Oak West course 20 years ago! Although I am 25 miles away from the course, I am contemplating as to whether I should join in the annual senior membership program. Personally I only wish the senior membership program for week days goes with $30/$30 or $300/$20 from the current $30/$35 or $400/$20 for seniors who may already belong to other weekly outings with their limited income! Believe me Bunker Hill is a good course for a bogie player like me by any measure!
Great Value for 18 holes with a cart
As a new golfer to the sport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Golf carts are newer and work without any problems. Course was in very good condition considering that I am playing in the winter. I did get stuck behind some slow players and would not let me jump ahead being a single player. I would definitely recommend to my friends. Great value
Course was OK considering it is late February. Too much goose droppings, but I don't blame the course. Greens were in decent shape. Overall, I was pleased to go out and play in 60+ degree weather in the winter in the northeast.
Scenic Hills
Its a very very scenic golf course, with gentle rolling hills and clean fairways. Next holes are easy to locate. Most tee boxes are elevated and offers a nice view of the land. Tee boxes are not perfect but fairways are well manicured, no roughs and few bunkers. A very forgiving, beautiful golf course, well suited for high handicaps. I play weekdays or off season so there's very few golfers in sight.
Golf fine but.......
The tee times were so close together that we were backed up and rushed constantly through the entire course. That wasn't really the problem, though. We enjoyed our round of golf. The real problem was that, we finished our round at 5:00. There were still lots of people on the course (21 cars in the parking lot). I needed to use the bathroom and was informed they were closed for the night and the worker didn't have the keys. He then told me that the person with the keys had already left. With so many people still here, how could there be no bathroom facilities?!?!?!?! I asked if there was anything we could do and the unsympathetic worker said no. He didn't seem apologetic or anything...just very matter of fact. I informed him I would be writing a review and his response was, "OK." So I told him to have a nice day and I left. He gave no suggestions of places in the area where I could stop and use a restroom, no sort of help at all. I will NOT be coming back here!
Fun course to play
I was visiting from Argentina and decided to play some golf on a sunny, not too cold Winter day. The course was fun to play. There is a lot of movement on the terrain and quite some elevation yet it is a forgiving course. The wholes are not long and the fairways are generous so it allows for easy recovery and good scoring. I like challenging courses and that is what I tend to play but it a nice, easier course is fun, especially if you are visiting. I was surprised by could shape the course was in -- being Winter and me not knowing what golf is like during this season here, I did not know what to expect. The fairways were very good and so were the greens.
Short course
This is a short course but has enough challenge. Perfect for leisure players like us. Very scenic. I like this course.
