Great Value for 18 holes with a cart
As a new golfer to the sport. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Golf carts are newer and work without any problems. Course was in very good condition considering that I am playing in the winter. I did get stuck behind some slow players and would not let me jump ahead being a single player. I would definitely recommend to my friends. Great value
Course was OK considering it is late February. Too much goose droppings, but I don't blame the course. Greens were in decent shape. Overall, I was pleased to go out and play in 60+ degree weather in the winter in the northeast.
Scenic Hills
Its a very very scenic golf course, with gentle rolling hills and clean fairways. Next holes are easy to locate. Most tee boxes are elevated and offers a nice view of the land. Tee boxes are not perfect but fairways are well manicured, no roughs and few bunkers. A very forgiving, beautiful golf course, well suited for high handicaps. I play weekdays or off season so there's very few golfers in sight.
Golf fine but.......
The tee times were so close together that we were backed up and rushed constantly through the entire course. That wasn't really the problem, though. We enjoyed our round of golf. The real problem was that, we finished our round at 5:00. There were still lots of people on the course (21 cars in the parking lot). I needed to use the bathroom and was informed they were closed for the night and the worker didn't have the keys. He then told me that the person with the keys had already left. With so many people still here, how could there be no bathroom facilities?!?!?!?! I asked if there was anything we could do and the unsympathetic worker said no. He didn't seem apologetic or anything...just very matter of fact. I informed him I would be writing a review and his response was, "OK." So I told him to have a nice day and I left. He gave no suggestions of places in the area where I could stop and use a restroom, no sort of help at all. I will NOT be coming back here!
Fun course to play
I was visiting from Argentina and decided to play some golf on a sunny, not too cold Winter day. The course was fun to play. There is a lot of movement on the terrain and quite some elevation yet it is a forgiving course. The wholes are not long and the fairways are generous so it allows for easy recovery and good scoring. I like challenging courses and that is what I tend to play but it a nice, easier course is fun, especially if you are visiting. I was surprised by could shape the course was in -- being Winter and me not knowing what golf is like during this season here, I did not know what to expect. The fairways were very good and so were the greens.
Short course
This is a short course but has enough challenge. Perfect for leisure players like us. Very scenic. I like this course.
Solid 3 Stars
Short, which is good. Greens were smooth for the most part, but were slow. Fairways were sparse, but off the fairway was shaky. But you can't beat $30 to ride and finished in 3.5 hours.
Nothing Special
At first I was excited to play this course. It seemed to be a place that took pride in their course.
The staff was rude and slow. When we finished our round, we lined our carts up behind a line of carts towards the parking lot. When we were walking towards our cars, the cart boy made a comment that we should have dropped the cart off behind the cart barn where they belong. I would have had no problem with doing that, but it seemed as if the carts were being put in that location, and the way he spoke was in a rude manner.
When purchasing our round, it must have taken 15 minutes just to check in. I guess it didn't matter because the course was backed up by 20 minutes any way.
The round was extremely slow, and the course's conditions were poor.
At 60+ a round, I would never recommend playing here. I'm not sure why courses charge so much money when the quality isn't there. I understand the season is shorter than most, and they need to make their money, but if you are going to charge that much, at least take pride in what your course looks like.
Not a good day
We haven't had much rain, but this course is like concrete. Almost impossible to approach the greens. We got stuck playing on a day where there was an outing and the front 9 took 2:45.
nothing to write home about
very average course with below average fairways and rough. lots of crabgrass and uneven cutting. different colored sand in a lot of the bunkers. greens in ok shape but rather slow. markings are ok with mid-fairway poles. ok for practice course if you live nearby but not worth drive from anywhere else.
Not bad for the money.
Course is in pretty good shape for the dry summer we had. Pace of play was excellent! Under $35 and it's a good deal.
Price does not reflect conditions
This course has lost me as a customer. For $65 on a Sunday morning I don't expect PGA tour quality, however I do expect grass in the tee boxes, which there was not. I also expect sand in bunkers, not dirt. While the greens were in fair condition, there was no consistency in speed at all. Drainage is a major problem on this course. The recent weather is no excuse for the total lack of maintenance that was displayed. You should be ashamed of yourselves for letting this course get as bad as it has. It used to be a fun course that was a little pricey for what it is. Now it is a disgrace at half the price. NOT RECOMMEND
Are you sure you are commenting on the right golf course? Their green fees are nowhere near 60+, check again. For the price, with cart, its really a steal.
