Very Slow Round
Had a 3:30 tee off and we got out late. Took almost 3 hrs for 9 holes. That was enough. Improve your scheduling. Not going back anytime soon
Nice overall course for the koney
Tee boxes and greens were nice. Fairways were alright, bunkers could use some attention. Shorter course, open though so you can find most of your shots and some challenging greens. 2 slow 4 somes in front of us slowed it down and made it take us a little under 5 hours to finish.
Course was in good shape
Course was in good shape, greens looked real good along with the fairways. As always the tee boxes need some work, patchy and not a flat spot to be found.
Decent golf course for the price
Not a challenge course or 4/5 star course, inepensive and decent course
Poor coniditions
The entire course was dry to the bone. I do not believe they have sprinkler systems. Greens were a joke; different types of grass with plenty of bumps and holes.
My advice for them is to step up their maintenance because in a lot of cases you are struggling to find green grass.
Would Play Again
Course was in really nice shape. Played as a twosome and was offered to start on the back nine as there was a foursome of walkers on the first tee. Finished the round in 3.5 hours. While the course is shorter, it does have challenging holes where you need to layup or play a really tough shot. Would definitely play again.
Rock hard fareways and greens, food poisoning.
I've been playing BH on and off for the past 5 years.
Never had a bad experience. Then course changed hands. Past few years I've leaned toward longer venues and don't mind paying for better courses.
That said, this place is a dog track! Ground plays like concrete. Drove the green first two holes and lost the ball. Dirt patches everywhere can't even get the t in the ground. My cart had gum on the seat when I first picked it up, no one around to ask for a paper towel or something to remove it. Then to make sure my foursome condemns this place for life, two of the guys had to run from the 17th hole after eating chicken fingers at the turn from their restaurant.
This place is the worst course in Central Jersey.
Never Again, not even for FREE !
Nice course
The course was in good shape overall. The only complaint I could make is the greens don't hold. I hit a very high ball, I had every aproach shot I hit on the greens bounce completely off. From 8 iron to Lob wedge shots, hit extremely high bounced right off. I was so surprised to find there wasn't even a ball mark on the green. Not sure why they are so hard, could just be the time of year. But it's frustrating to be penalized for a well hit approach.
Other than that very cool course to play. If you have a good bump & run game certainly play here.
Easter Golf
Played alone on Easter Sunday, not many people out at 8:30am to play golf. Cource was in great shape considering all the weather we had but everyone was friendly and I played a solo round very quickly (3hrs)and I was not rushing. I always enjoy this course
Good condition
Fast play good shape foe early season. Enjoyed the experience
Positive features
Greens were very nice for a December day. Pace of play was great.Would play again.
This course is well maintained
The course played a bit short even from the back tees. However, the fairways were great and the greens were as good as can be expected for this time of year. The cafeteria was closed so there was no way to rate the food or beverages. It would have been great to have a coffee pot set up somewhere.
This course is customer friendly
We had a wonderful day. No crowds, excellent staff.
Not unexpected that we had "cart path" only after yesterday's rain. Course in great shape.
Beautiful course
Beautiful surroundings. Wonderful people. Pretty straight forward course. Enough challenges for an intermediate. Playable enough for a beginner. I can't say enough about this wonderful place
Decent Value
This is a decent medium range golf course a bit on the short side for distance. Played on a Sunday afternoon with my son in laws, a walk-on was mixed in with our group, only problem was he had an agonizing set-up routine that clearly put us behind on our pace, he only hit irons also, so most times we had to wait on his 2nd shot, I think I will decline if we play here again and he is offered to us.(lol). The greens were the best part of this course, terrific condition and speed, par 4's on the short side too, if you hit for any distance off the tee your short irons got a lot of work. I would play here again, but not for too much money, it's just a cut above a muni. Also, most bunkers were lacking typical bunker sand, they were all compacted due to either neglect or constant rain, my guess is they don't refill their bunkers on a consistent basis. Saw about a half dozen deer (couple nice size ones) walking about, they didn't seem to mind our presence.
PACE OF PLAY IS WAYYYYYY TOOOOOO SLOWWW
Im not sure why they are paying the starters and rangers here, they do absolutely nothing. I had to call the pro shop three times yesterday when i played because we were stuck waiting on every tee box. WHY DONT U SPEED PLAYERS Up.
OUR ROUND TOOK 5 HOURS!!!!!
Will never be going here again because of this, terrible experience.
Great Course Going South
I have played here multiple times and the course was great until a month back. The fairways and roughs are dried up (assuming no rains and/or irrigation not working)... Greens in okay condition...
The course have started to get sponsors for each hole. On one of the hole (#6), the sponsors had put up a booth and folks just kept on talking even while someone is Teeing off... This was a first at this course. Won't be going back for some time...
It was a great course and one of my favorite for short game...
Golf course or burned out dog track??
With the very mild summer you wouldn't expect the poor course conditions this place was in. The course was so burnt out and even the fairways were like hitting off of the back yard patio. I guess I missed the memo we were in a drought because this course seems like it hasn't seen water since the April showers. For the price on a Saturday am of $65 it's definately not worth it. The uneven tee boxes with several types of grass and woody weeds growing, the dead spots engulfing most fairways and the lack of attention and care where needed in the sand and greens. Several traps I noticed were not full sand. The edges were red clay like rocks. A public course with friends for fun is definately not worth damaging a club for. I am done at bunker hill untill next season after we have some rain and mayb the maintenance crew puts a few hours in to the course.
I would Play It Again.
Good course for beginners/average players to work on their game. Course should provide a water jug at a few holes like most courses do.
Mid week course was not crowded
Greens ok, but course is not in great shape. Also, I was not feeling well, only played a 4 holes and had to quit.
I asked for a rain check but was refused because I booked the T-time on-line.
