Horrible round
After we paid for our round, we were told by the starter we would have to wait until leagues teed off on both nines. We had an 8am tee time and we told the starter we booked the round to zip around the course.. we teed off at 7:50am and completed the first nine holes by 9:05. We had to wait almost 30 minutes to tee off on hole 10. So much for our fast round. I went in and asked if we could get a rain check. The woman told me it wasn’t raining so why would we need a rain check. I told her leagues would hold us up., They would have given us a rain check but when they saw we booked on Golfnow, they told me to contact you. I asked the starter if we could skip ahead of the league and come back and finish the holes we skipped but the starter told us we couldn’t do that. I had to go to work so I only got 16 holes completed. I had to leave to go to work. I will never play this course again.
Valleaire Review
Price, staff, greens all excellent. Pace of play very poor, but it's like that everywhere now with the Chinese Virus-everyone is golfing. Loved it and will be back!!
Look forward to future updates on course
Valleaire Golf Course has only improved over the years. Spoke with the head of course maintenance out on the course today. I was excited to hear that he and the course have plans to update certain areas of the course by adding bunkers, filling in and growing grass in areas where there may be small dirt patches, etc....
I believe in the little things being done that make an overall “big difference” for a course like this.
Played here 2x here this year, and will be back again. But really looking forward to 2021 @ Valleaire. Again I want to give kudos to all employees putting the time in to maintain the course.
Regards,
Matt
Good course with a few bad holes
From the tips there are a few bad tee placements on the front nine that put a damper on the overall experience. Overall a good course that is largely underrated.
Nice course
Have played here earlier in the year when it was a disaster due to wet weather, and playing it now in the middle of the summer shows a big difference. The course really played well. Greens were in great shape, the fairways weren’t beat up, and there was some challenge to the course. Also $33 to play 18 and ride is a deal. Overall a good place to play. I will be back to play again.
Good shape
Course is in really good shape. Tee boxes and greens are worth the price. Pace got a little slow on the back. Had more to do with the group in front of us than anything.
Typical Valleaire
Course was nothing special. Younger staff fix a good job keeping play moving. Rough is rarely watered so it was hard and dry. Greens took spin and did not release.
Been A Long Time
Truly enjoyed coming back here. A little more knowledge of the course would have yielded a better score. But conditions were basically perfect. And pace of play was just fine.
