The Players Club at Foxfire Golf Club
About
Foxfire Golf Club boasts 36 holes of championship golf, the Foxfire Course and the Players Club Course. The Players Club was added in 1993.The layout is a deft combination of traditional American golf and traditional British links design that provides the perfect complement to the original. The golf course is the more challenging of the two, but not by much. The layout features narrow fairways lined with trees and water hazards on eight holes. There are three particularly tricky carries over water. Strategically placed bunkers and contoured mounding also treacherously lurk by the greensides. The par-4 16th hole is the course's signature. This demanding hole plays uphill through trees to a green that is guarded by five bunkers. The most memorable hole though, might be the par-5 eighth, which features the longest sand bunker in the Midwest.

This course has great features
Course is very good condition and very good design.
Enjoyed very much, especially variety of hole design.
Really enjoyed the course even though it was very wet and CPO. Nice variety of holes and interesting shots. Two thumbs up!
Excellent!
Great course, challenging links style first 9 then narrow heavily wooded back nine that you better be on your game! Awesome!
one of the greats
This course is great. From beginning to end. It opens with a wide open par 4 and the journey begins. And when I say the Devil awaits, lol. 14, 15, 16 will have you scratching your head wondering why did I use that club. This is a must play course.
Bunker's Need Help
Overall the course was is adequate shape, the bunker's however were not. Some needed sand added, some looked as if they had been plowed and some were is very fine shape. I would play the course again without question, but the bunkers should be addressed by the staff.
Awesome course
The bunkers need alot of attention in very poor shape. Guess I should have just stayed out of them
Recommend for good players
Challenging course. Front nine is manageable, back 9 gets vicious. Absolutely beautiful and pristine conditions.
Holes 14, 15 and 16
These holes (14,15,16) are unfair to the average golfer, there is no way
you can get thru them in even par. very difficult.
Overpriced
If the driving range had been open, I would have given 4 stars. Had the tee boxes from the back tees been in better condition, I might give it 4.5 stars. The driving range being closed is my biggest complaint. How can you not have your driving range ready the week before Memorial Day? Inexcusable. The course itself is a nice layout. The first three holes were average, but then the holes get a little more challenging and more enjoyable. I loved the holes around the turn. The sand traps on some of the holes were dried out and hard as a rock. But the greens were in good condition and the fairways were too for the most part. The cart paths need to be redone. I will be back once the driving range is open.
For the money - good value
This is the first time I played this course in 5-6 years. While the fairways and greens were well maintained - about 2/3's of the bunkers have been neglected. While there were a few good bunkers, most seemed to be packed dirt, or not draining properly. The course itself is fantastic with great variation. For $39 on a weekend, I think it is a good value. 5-6 years ago they were charging $55 - though the course was in better shape.
overpriced for what it is
If length of course is the only thing you go for, then go for this course.
The staff were indifferent.
There were so many pitch marks on the green it was ridiculous.
There were probably 5-6 holes that were very narrow and difficult fairways, the rest were nothing special.
This course is great. Very fun.
Greens were in great shape. Course is challenging and a lot fun. Carts were very dirty- looked like they hadn't been washed/cleaned in weeks. Pro shop had great prices.
Better than ever
We were pleasantly surprised. The greens were fast and the bunkers were well maintained. Great to see.
course is somewhat challenging with a couple of difficult holes.
Course was well maintained except sand traps which needs better drainage system. Green was good so was rough. Had a very good game to beat my HC.
Great Course That Needs Work
The fairways were good, the tees were fine, the greens were slowish but true, and the rough was very heavy and high. A long, challenging course from the tips. My complaint is with the traps. They were pretty much dirt, and packed dirt to boot. I'm not recommending this course at this time.
Challenging
TPC at Foxfire is always challenging but not always well maintained. This is more than can be said for the regular Foxfire course which they have hung out to dry in favor of the TPC. It's a fun and challenging course but for the money there are better options out there.
GREENS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR
WOULD PLAY THIS COURSE ANYTIME GREAT PLACE TO PLAY
It's a pretty tough course
This golf course is one of the toughest in Ohio. The front nine has plenty of water, and the narrow tree-lined fairways on the back nine are pretty intimidating. Though I'm not a very good golfer (25 + handicap) .. I lost more balls here than at any other golf course I've ever played. I won't go back until I am consistently hitting in the low 90's. Beautiful course though, and well maintained.
Great layout, fair setup
Great course friendly staff. Super value 12 dollars for 18 holes. Very scenic!
Majestic gem just south of Columbus.
Very scenic rural majestic gem located just south of Columbus Ohio. The back nine is very challenging with narrow fairways and lots of woods. The greens are fast and always in great shape.
