Black Brook Golf Course & Practice Center

I have only been golfing for 3 months so I haven’t played many courses, and only 2 other muni’s, but for end of October this course was in great shape. Staff was super friendly (2 guys maybe in their 60’s?), there was a lady serving at the bar but I had no interaction with her, and the guys on the course and at the cart return were friendly and helpful as well. Course was challenging but not too challenging for a new group of golfers. I loved the fact that we were a group of 3 and there were 2 singles going off after us and they didn’t try to force us together. As a new, bad golfer, there is nothing worse than playing with someone you don’t know as I am already nervous enough about sucking. Only 2 small complaints are that the geo for the carts had some weird spots (but I’m sure they have their reasons) and there is some wasted space where they could move some greens or add some things. but that’s nitpicking. Adding a bridge over the road would be a cool addition, however the cars let the carts go pretty quickly. There is some maintenance going on but it only affected me on #6 so it’s pretty harmless. That being said, if you are the golfer who is looking to play Augusta for $22, you might want to wait u til that’s done. Will definitely be back for 18 when I’m not in such a hurry.

Great course to play. Not to difficult but great for the experienced players. Well kept grounds. Staff always friendly, price to play a round of golf very reasonable .

Tim and his team do a great job making sure you have a smooth experience. I play on a weekly league and have for five years now. I get a couple tee times a month and have played in outings. Good times on all occasions.

I highly recommend this course.

I like playing this course and for the price you can't beat it. The staff is very friendly and every time I play up there I play with a different person and it's really enjoyable.

This is a nice course for the price. Not that hilly not that flat but very challenging

Slow play quit early. Rain damage to course.

Fairways choppy.

Otherall a lot of dry and hard compacted spots throughout the course. The tee boxes are in terrible shape, hard enough where putting a tee down is near impossible on some. The fairways were okay, there were some spots that were dry, and anything in the rough had a chance to be completely dry or dead grass area.

I booked on golf now which was not a problem until I got to the course and the guy in the clubhouse was rude and told me I didn’t pay online after I showed him the confirmation email and showed him my app twice. Once he realized he was wrong he didn’t say anything other than okay and handed me a key. No apology,nothing.
