Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. Annoying ranger
We were the first ones out on the course after a long frost delay. Around hole 8 we were asked to speed up play or we would be immediately pulled off the course. I look back and don’t even see the group behind us on the tee box yet. And haven’t seen them since we teed off at the starting hole. We were going to stop for beers and drinks at the turn but we fearful we’d lose our stop with the ranger cautiously watching us from a distance. Missed opportunity for more business for the course. Once we went to hole ten the ranger was sitting there waiting for us to arrived and then sped away as soon as we arrived like we were on a clock. Just totally obnoxious and sets the wrong mood for the day. Disappointing.

Not bad
The layout is a bit funky on the back 9 and they make it pretty tough to see the green without a scorecard map. As far as scenery, there is none. It’s just standalone trees which some like but I like the thrill of losing 7 balls in the woods. No restrooms along the course either which is a bit rough. Nice conditions though.

Great course, very slow pace of play
Course was in good shape and has a nice layout but the pace was super slow. Had to cut loose on 13

Better than expected
Not a bad track at all in Liberty Township. Great meeting point for me and a buddy driving down from Dayton. Was expecting a lot worse than what the reviews said. Def want to play it again next year!

The pace of play was absolutely terrible, had to wait on every shot from the 1st tee box all the way thru the round. The course was not in the best of shape.

Won’t be back
Have played here many times but the pace of play and course conditions has made today my last time. Fairways were hard as a rock as taking a divot means broken wrists. The greens are like putting in the moon with all the pitch marks. Then mixing in a 5 some of elderly ladies in front of us made each hole over 25 min. Will be glad when the Covid golfers go back to whatever they were doing prior to pandemic.

They dont care
8 min tee times on a driveable par 4 course. Have fun waiting 20 min between holes all day. After three holes taking 1.5 hours i knew it was going to be a bad day. Cart girl didnt even offer to take our credit cards back to run them bc she didnt take cash. Never seen anything like it before. Ive played here twice and its been the same case. Wont be back.

Overpriced, terribly cared for
Looks like a great course from the highway. Fairways are burned up, not watered. Greens all slope in an extreme direction, piles of divot holes, nobody does squat for maintenance. Fairways are on top of each other. Course is poorly managed, we didn't see a ranger for 3 hours, after we waited behind a group of five , four, and various people playing off our fairways. Cart paths have craters, have fun getting the daylights beat out of you unless you go 1 mph.
No beer / drink cart. It's overall a disaster and the most expensive course in the area for some reason. Check out the picture I attached, it's the epitome of the neglect and poor attention to anything the course displays.

Course condition is OK, dry spots near the green but greens were good. Pace of play was terrible per usual.

Pace of Play
Fun course but the painful pace of play ruined the good vibes. Marshal came out after a call when we had 7 holes left and broke up the log jam. Staff was awesome. Nice snack bar and patio. Fairways could use some love and attention. Would go back Worth a 2nd chance.

Fun round
My 8th time this year playing GC and always enjoy it. Pace of play has been an issue the last few times but the on course Marshall does his best to keep it moving. Today was special because I broke 80 for the first time!

Really nice layout but rough fairways
I thought the layout was very good. Strategically placed water hazards on the front nine. The fairways had a lot of bare spots from divots and wasn’t in great shape, but it may due to a lot of play. Overall a good public course.

Fishy 15th!!!!
Course is overall good for money. Unfortunately the 15th hole has a pond of dead fish. First It smells awful. Second not sure who should be notified but I will be calling around. Unacceptable.
