Golfer Reviews
I really liked this course ..Greens still coming back from aeration. Fairways in some areas effected by this dry summer. But overall course in great shape . Bring all your clubs par 5's long and will require some muscle to reach ..Par 3s very fun with raised greens and elevation changes . Looking forward to playing again now that I know my way around .
Snow Hill Quickie After Work
Wanted a quick nine after work and it paid off. Hardly anyone on the course for our 4:20 Tee time. Only issue was the weather, it was blowing! We still had an enjoyable 9 and did not see any other golfers in front of us the whole round.
Sleeper of a course
This old course carries plenty of tradition and uniqueness. Loved the setting and the layout. Staff was super sweet and accommodating. Everything was great except the pace of play. Two groups of 3 (in carts) resulted in a 2 hr 40 minute back nine.
Course condition
They cut the grass in the fairways are cut to short.
Snow Hill CC
Played 10/21/24 at 11:20. The course was in good shape considering the lack of rain. The greens were aerated but smooth and fast. One of my favorite courses in Dayton and Cincinnati area. Always plays longer than the scorecard says.lots of undulating greens. Good test of golf.
Crispy!
This is a must play course and I have many times and it's always in pristine condition
Yesterday was not the case, the entire course was burnt up pretty badly even a few greens in spots.
I'm sure they will right the ship, got it for $35 so still worth the money.
As tuff as any course from the Blue tees
Great layout with a great staff that take care of you!
Greens are fast and true
Interesting course layout and friendly staff
Played on a very hot day in July. Threat of rain kept a lot of golfers away. Staff was literally waiting outside of the proshop with cart keys in hand when we walked up. Very friendly and happy to see us. Course well watered and mushy in spots (OH in a drought), so it was nice to see water on course. First time on course so got fooled a few times. Great hometown course with neat island green which my son drove! Greens were is good shape and held. Clubhouse was modest but we are not picky. Would play again.
Great course & food
course layout and maint. is top notch. Tuna melt best ever had by far. Severe drought conditions not at fault. Over hour drive will be going back soon!!
Snow Hill
Decent layout. Front much better than the back. Pace of play was very slow, almost 5 hours. Luckily we were paired up with 2 others so it made it less painful.
Be prepared
There are no starters or Rangers so people just tee off whenever. Times that are supposed to have 4 golfers end up getting split in 2, making it back up even further. At minimum they need a starter to ensure groups are going together. Lastly, if you played there 9/2/2024 and are a middle aged guy with a below knee amputation on the right leg, your day is coming. I can't wait to find you in public one day.
Hello, dreirden. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Snow Hill Country Club.
