Madison Country Club
About
Opened in 1923, Madison Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the area. It has a traditional design that measures to a modest 6,145 yards from the back tees. The golf course may be short by modern standards but this member-owned course has been a local favorite since it first opened. The classic layout has wide, player-friendly fairways that offer plenty of room and the terrain is mostly flat, making it a good golf course to walk. There are a few mature trees scattered throughout and you'll also come across some strategically placed bunkers as well. Madison Country Club is ideal for beginners but it's also a great round of practice for more advanced players. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and short-game area at the club.

Great layout, perfect condition and friendly staff
Fantastic course that was a former private club. Challenging layout, beautiful landscaping. Great value
Reasonable Municipal Course
It was a good round with well maintained greens. Layout was a little tight and confusing. The mowing was a little behind probably due to wet weather.
Nice course after a rain
Very nice course. Doesn't get soggy after rainy weather. Nice layout. Decent challenge but nothing too hard. Good greens. Friendly staff..
A well maintain classic course.
A great course for an enjoyable round. Beautiful tree line fairways, with fast greens! I always enjoy the 205-yard power 3 number 9
One of the best in the area
Play here a lot and I live on the west side, always worth the money and the drive.
Course was closed
The course was closed and we did not get to play due to rain and I didn’t get a refund.
Greens need lots of work. Charged extra for single rider carts!!!
Greens much worse than a couple of weeks ago. Fairways were ok. With the pandemic they charge extra for single rider carts. If they are going to do this then should install barriers in each cart like alot of other courses have done!!!
Great Course!
We had set a tee time for 1:30 but we were able to get out even earlier. Found that the locals and the staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had appropriately. The course was in great condition, even with the lack of rain lately. The were more bunkers that what I am used to, but they really were not that difficult. This course has some hills but they didn't bother us at all. Had a great time doing 18 here.
Madison is a very nice course. Some long challenging par 4's, short scoring par 4's. One of few mostly public course that still has greenside, and fairway bunkers on almost every hole. It is quite narrow for many holes and is a challenge. My main complaint is that several times my group has tried to play, at various times during the day. One problem keeps rearing its ugly head. PACE OF PLAY. Several times the round has taken 4:40- 5 hours. Walk ups aren't apparently forced to wait for the next available tee time, they are squeezed in more often than not, backing things up terribly. If people are going to be squeezed in, why have tee times at all. Its a challenging place to play, greens nice, its just too slow for me. STICK TO TEE TIMES PLEASE!
Excellent Course Conditions!
Pace of play was 4 hours
Excellent conditions
Great layout

I feel golf courses should offer handy cap stickers for medical conditions.
