Madison Country Club
About
Opened in 1923, Madison Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the area. It has a traditional design that measures to a modest 6,145 yards from the back tees. The golf course may be short by modern standards but this member-owned course has been a local favorite since it first opened. The classic layout has wide, player-friendly fairways that offer plenty of room and the terrain is mostly flat, making it a good golf course to walk. There are a few mature trees scattered throughout and you'll also come across some strategically placed bunkers as well. Madison Country Club is ideal for beginners but it's also a great round of practice for more advanced players. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and short-game area at the club.

Course has discontinued single Golf carts with Covid-19 Pandemic without placing barriers in each cart!!
This course along with Chardon Lakes, Hemlock Springs have ceased allowing individual carts. At least Chardon Lakes has some golf carts with barriers to permit social distancing. The Covid-19 Pandemic is far,far from over and Golf Courses have a civic duty to protect their customers. Please invest in the barriers if you want two golfers per cart!!!
Staff was rude
The course was in pretty decent shape but not as nice as years I have played in the past.
Nice course
Nice. In good shape. Nothing spectacular.
Best Course in Lake County
Best public course in lake county. Hidden Gem!
Fast Greens
The greens are rolling nicely. Everyone who plays here wears jeans nowadays though.
Country club conditions
Was pleasantly pleased with the overall conditions of the course. The greens were well-maintained and fun to put on. if you haven't played here before I would highly recommend
Best Course in NEOhio
I look forward to playing Madison and it always delivers. From tee to green it is a pleasure to play. Greens are tough and true, fairways present the ball for clean striking. Love it.
Awesome
Great place for the price!!!
Course is in excellent shape
Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in wonderful condition. Several challenging holes. Well worth the drive. Will definitely play this course multiple times this year!
Outstanding
Madison is in country club condition, well worth the drive. If You have not played this course before You must put it on Your list of courses to play this summer...
Great
Great great great great great
Outstanding value
Played early afternoon; course was in great shape as usual. Greens were in superb condition. Course personnel were picking up leaves on the entire course. If you get a chance, you have to play this course- you won't regret it.
awesome condition
great course in amazing condition. perfect fairways, rough and greens. played it in the fall and they were very diligent about removing the leaves. I live an hour away and might drive back a day after I played because the courses in my neighborhood cant compare.
Great Track
We played on a beautiful October Sunday of temps in the 70's. The greens were in quick, smooth and in excellent shape, fairways a bit thin from recent aerification. Bunkers have not been raked or kept up for many days, typical this time of year in northern ohio. Course is tight and tree lined, but fair landing areas. Gentleman behind counter was extremely friendly and professional. Highly recommend, price was great too.
1st time playing
Madison is tree lined scenic challenging round of golf.Tight driving chutes, sloped well guarded greens.
Greens are fast, very fast stay below the hole fast. Will play again.
Great value!
Madison CC is an older country club that recently opened for public play. Although not designed by Donald Ross, it has many of the classic Ross design standards, including small and elevated greens and using the natural terrain for proper drainage. The sand traps were in good to excellent condition and played fairly.
The course was in excellent shape. Some of the fairways had been aerated, but the greens and tee boxes had not. I was told by someone inside the course superintendent usually waits until late in the season to do the aeration.
I teed off as a single but met up with a twosome on the second hole as they were waiting to tee off. Pace of play wasn't bad although we had to wait at times for our shots.
Everyone I spoke to at the course was very friendly and helpful. The pro shop, restrooms and food areas were small and dated, but the food and beverage options were good.
I will be back to play this course again.
Course was in great shape
The greens were very fast but in great shape, the fairways and tee boxes were in very good shape.
Beautiful course.
I've played this course in years past and it has not always been in good shape. The new management has cleaned everything up and it is in excellent shape for a public course.
Unfriendly host
Clubhouse said, "golfnow took your money and I do not have a tee time for you unless you can find someone to pair up with."
Perfect Conditions
I always enjoy taking the trip out to Madison for this course. The course is in absolutely perfect condition. Green fairways when many other courses are brown. Greens are firm and fast. Will definitely go back even thought it is an hour drive for me.
