About
Named after a native American word for maple forest, Manakiki Golf Course's defining feature is the abundance of maple trees that line the winding fairways. The course is a classic Donald Ross design. He incorporated a variety of challenges including tricky doglegs, water hazards, up-and-down holes, and two canyon holes. The holes themselves also cover a range from short to long and tight to open. Golfers should prepare themselves for a bevy of uneven lies, but the dramatic elevation changes also guarantee some scenic views throughout the golf course. There are also sand traps but their placement and number were thoughtfully considered to make Manakiki G.C. challenging but still playable. It is popular for this reason but also because it is one of the best rounds in northeast Ohio you can find for under $50.

Amazing Public Course
Probably one of the best public courses I have played in my life. Great condition, the course layout is interesting and fun. All the staff was super nice and welcoming!
Manakiki Golf
Great golf course. Very tough course, but fun. The greens were fast and in great shape. The rough were deep and almost US Open like condition. Loved the challenge. Definitely must reply when in Cleveland
Metro parks Manakiki
From the time we arrived it was a grand experience. Played the blue tees, and for a a senior it was just right. Greens were receptive yet rolled well at a good pace. Enjoyed the round, will be back.
Extremely overpriced
It's a decent layout. Unfortunately the cart path only the back nine and horrendously cut rough , with grass clippings so bad up lose your ball just off the fairway. That combined with the ridiculously priced greens fees make fir a course you should avoid.
Back Nine Maintenance Spoils Round
This is one of the best courses in the area possibly in NE Ohio. However, the greens are still bumpy and the ball can take abrupt turns. Also, the back nine is under construction so only cart path. These spoilt an otherwise good round.
The recommended
This is the golf course you would recommend anyone out town to play at. Extremely well kept, fantastic layout, and has a good challenge. And the staff is very friendly.
Poorest condition I have ever seen any Donald Ross course
Don’t exactly know what was going on, the fairway was dead, the greens were the tallest I’ve ever golfed on all season, the tees grass were dead. The people infront of us were incredibly slow and weird, the one guy had no shirt with a mullet, don’t think this course is supposed to play like a desert golf course but it sure did feel like it with all the dead grass. I personally never write reviews but I drove 2 hrs to drive and I would hate to for people to waste their time and money on this course.
Outstanding course
This is an outstanding course!! Expensive, but outstanding!!
