About
Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course in Willoughby is a player-friendly course that is open year-round. The classic design has appeal for low and high handicappers alike whether you are a beginner who wants some practice or a scratch golfer looking for a casual round. The front nine is relatively flat but the terrain gets more challenging on the back nine. There is also a creek that wanders across the back nine, coming into play on a few holes. The bunkering is minimal throughout the golf course but it's strategically placed. The hole you need to watch out for is the par-4 15th. This challenging 435-yard hole is Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course's no. 1 handicap hole. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and practice putting green available.

Like a country club
Best value in town. Fairways are like carpet. They have now all the bunkers finished with good sand. Other courses should learn from this. Keep it up!

Course was in excellent condition for being a public Course, That is played by alot traffic. Would definitely return, Worth the price.

Nice place!
Had a great time on a hot summer day. Pace of play was slow but that was due to two slow groups ahead of mine. Conditions were superb considering the rain the night before.

Course was fine, worst pace of play I’ve ever experienced
It’s a good city course especially when they have a hot deal, and for the lack of rain we’ve been getting it’s in great shape. BUT holy smokes was this the most painful round I’ve ever played. A makeshift “league” of 12 elderly men decided that on a Tuesday morning they were going to play 3 groups of a 4 man scramble at a 3 hour per 9 hole pace. They wouldn’t let me or anyone else play through, and the starter let them go off early in front of me and one other group just because they lined up on the tee box before us. I do not understand the point of having a starter if he doesn’t manage the course. They all went into the club house at the turn and when they saw me go to the back to tee off, two raced up to the tee and said “sorry we’re in a league” and jumped to the senior tees in front of me and waited for everyone else to do. Why the course let them do this is beyond me. I played 9 in 3 hours, teed off on 10 and turned around and went home.

Nice for the money
I played for $15 so it was well worth the money, staff was friendly and helpful. Not a whole lot of merch to choose from so if you need any balls or equipment get it before. Greens were a little damaged and it was dry but that was expected with the temps we had recently. Met some good guys on the course and we teamed up since they had 3 singles out back to back we were still waiting a little so the pace of play or logistics of putting golfers together could help the pace. Will play again

Great day to golf. Was paired up with other single golfers to make a foursome. Some greens keepers still out on the course mowing as we made our way around, without interference. Again, Great Day!
