About
Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course in Willoughby is a player-friendly course that is open year-round. The classic design has appeal for low and high handicappers alike whether you are a beginner who wants some practice or a scratch golfer looking for a casual round. The front nine is relatively flat but the terrain gets more challenging on the back nine. There is also a creek that wanders across the back nine, coming into play on a few holes. The bunkering is minimal throughout the golf course but it's strategically placed. The hole you need to watch out for is the par-4 15th. This challenging 435-yard hole is Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course's no. 1 handicap hole. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and practice putting green available.

Like a country club except slow play
Love this course, especially how well they have kept it up.

Average course. Conditions are ok but greens are really nice.Some of the staff needs to be more friendly..
Great Course
Very nice course. I went right after a pretty big rain. Little soggy. But I would recommend this course to anyone.
Cart path only?
Course was in good shape for all the rain we have had. My only issue is that neither the person at the cash register or starter told me it was cart path only. Also the rough appeared to not have been cut since last year. lol They also seemed to have many tees under repair.
Needs some work
The course was wet, so we had to do cart path only. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Creeks and ponds were not that threatening if you layup properly. I went out first, by myself, so got around in 2.5 hours. Cart paths have big potholes. Once they are repaved the course will look much better. No water stations or bathrooms were on the course. A bit of a problem for ladies.
Golf
Course was in pretty good shape, better then o remember it from precious rounds in the beginning of the year. Couple greens were punched but rolled pretty true.
Windy but dry
I just finished before the rain. It was windy probably a club wind on some holes. The course was in great shape especially the greens.
Steady Course
Nice, “old faithful” course. No frills, just good golf experience and positive memories.
Pleasant
Got out early and it was fast paced from there the course was a little wet it was cart path only but that was ok the pace went well the greens were rolling good and the course was in good shape
Recent Progress Hindered by Lack Of Sand
The improvement in this course over the last 5 years cannot be understated. It has become one of the nicest groomed courses in the area. While a relatively easy course due to the length it none the less has some very well laid out holes. The most dramatic short coming of the course is the lack of sand in the bunkers, which detracts significantly from ones impression of the course conditions. Sand is plentiful in NE Ohio so supply shouldn't be an issue. Once the put 4-6 inches of sand in the bunkers this course will, without exaggeration, be among the top 15 in NE Ohio.
Below average
Course is in decent shape but boring and usually over priced. The customer service needs a lot of improvement. A couple times I didn't feel welcome at all. My co worker had the same complaint. Unlikely that I will ever patronize this course again.
Another fun round at Lost Nation
The course is in good shape. The weather was perfect. I enjoy this layout. The only problem is slower groups not allowing the rest of us to play through.
Bad
This is just a average course with below average customer service smh. The staff is very unfriendly. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Showed up right on time ready to go and they fussed because they said I should of been there 15 early. Even though we were only ones there ready to tee off. They rushed us while playing and it felt like they were constantly watching my group. Have no idea why. I do not recommend and I will not be back.
Decent Course For The Money
Wouldn't pay full freight for this course, but it's well kept and presented a challenge to stay on the fairways and avoid the rough.
Slow play
I play here a few times a year, but today was very slow. There was a league or outing in front of us which is fine, however at the turn we went in for a dog and drink as I said it was slow. When we came out the starter had sent another group off the back nine in front of us. Not acceptable!
Good straight forward course
Fun course, not too long and is in good shape. People are nice and it is conveniently located.
Course conditions very good for late summer. Pace of play was awful
This course gets lots of play. The pace of play is very,very slow. Really pleasantly surprised with course conditions. Usually by this time of year the course is really hard and burnt up but not this year!
