About
Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course in Willoughby is a player-friendly course that is open year-round. The classic design has appeal for low and high handicappers alike whether you are a beginner who wants some practice or a scratch golfer looking for a casual round. The front nine is relatively flat but the terrain gets more challenging on the back nine. There is also a creek that wanders across the back nine, coming into play on a few holes. The bunkering is minimal throughout the golf course but it's strategically placed. The hole you need to watch out for is the par-4 15th. This challenging 435-yard hole is Lost Nation Municipal Golf Course's no. 1 handicap hole. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and practice putting green available.

Nice course
Playing from the blue tees makes the course a whole different round then the white tees. Thanks to all the rain we’ve had the course is in great shape from tee to greens. Starters were courteous and have a great sense of humor. Seem the staff was friendly.

Not friendly starters
Been golfing at Lost Nation for a few years, never had a problem, always well kept, prices are always very reasonable. However the starter is usually rude, instead of letting us out literally 2 minute early while there is no one ahead of us or behind us they make sure we don’t tee off until the exact minute of the tee time. Tough to sit at the tee box with no one around and they won’t allow us to tee off. We’ll be back but will make sure we have other courses to play before.

Perfect day!
Played in under 3 hours. Best score of the year. Greens were in the best shape I've ever seen them. The staff is outstanding!

Great shape for the money.
Great lies in the fairway. Consistent rough. Greens are true and roll well. Fairly open and bailout areas are available on most holes if you spray the drive.

Father’s Day
Nice course. Was in good shape. Even though kind of crowded for Father’s Day, the pace was still good. Only complaint would be some of the sand traps were only ok.

Great little muni, definitely recommend
For the price, this is a great value. Fairways and greens are not terribly challenging but are in great shape. Really enjoyed my round.

Friendly Staff, Nice Course, Bang for Buck
We were greeted by the kind starter, which seems to be a rarity. All the staff inside in the pro shop and cafe were kind. The course was nice and well kept, outside of a few few boxes which were actively being repaired. I would recommend this to others and will definitely be going back!

Slow start but good pace
The course was a little backed up due to late finish of a league. The starter was doubling up pairs to get things moving. Took a few holes before groups started to spread out. We started on the back 9 which are more challenging. It seemed better to play these first! Stopped gor a hot dog and beer at the yutn snd service was wuick! Hot dog was very good and hit the spot!
