Good
Everything was great except the bunkers i encountered were not playable so i just took relief but just like olde Paige it was worth the money haven’t played this course since i was in high school about 20 years ago. Brought back memories of me and my Grandfather playing it together so it was well worth it. If the bunkers were playable would have been a 5 star experience for me
Staff communication of course conditions/ Pace of play
Staff could communicate the status of the greens (aeration), tee boxes severely damaged. We also encountered two groups that slowed play. The first group was initially a threesome inwhich after a couple of holes turned into a group of six, after three holes of play they let us play through. We then encountered a twosome after playing one hole that were playing the gold tees and they would wait for the group ahead of them to clear a par 4/5 before teeing off. Otherwise the round was pleasurable.
course is iffy right now July 28th
I haven’t played here in quite a while and for the price I paid it was not worth it.
Punched greens
It would be nice to be warned if the greens have been punched and sanded. Other than that course was great. Should be I. Really nice shape in about 5 days from 7/25/2024.
This 36 hole city owned course
The Stone Creek 18 hole course offered well designed holes. The fairways and greens were dry, needing water. The sand traps were 90% unplayable! Very little sand and were more dirt than anything else. After two of us tried hitting out of the traps, we decided to play them as “ground under repair,” which is what they needed to be.
