Needing some rain!
I have played the course often (2x month) this year and it was good to see some of the progress despite the lack of rain for over a month.
Appreciate the improvement of greens but the tee. Boxes could use some attention/ water.
I always enjoy my rounds here. Hope they can address the bare areas in the fairways on 5 & 9 in the future.
Thanks for always having great hospitality.
Greens are terrible and bunkers is horrible no sand only weeds
Terrible no maintenance at all I waisted my money $145.00
Okay course, but BADLY in need of routine water
I've played both Mohawk Park golf courses for many years. Bu in the summertime I keep a small cordless drill in my bad. Some of the tee boxes can get so hard, it's difficult to place a tee without first drilling a hole to put in the tee. Not like that on most other Tulsa area courses.
Bumpy Greens
Course was only in fair conditions. The greens were very bumpy and wooly. Still a nice municipal course.
Really bad shape
All the fairways are dirt, greens have weeds all over them, bunkers have been taken over by grass, and tee boxes are sand.
Would not have paid the green fee to play here if I knew how bad of shape the course is in.
Good course with a fair layout.
The course is a good challenge for any level golfer . Like most Oklahoma courses it has shortage of grass this time of year but due to common shortage of rainfall not poor maintenance.
Great for the leisure golfer
I needed a place to practice and GN offered a good deal at this course. Course was not busy. It was a nice day and I enjoyed a leisurely day of golf at Mohawk.
Fun course to play, a little rough in spots and the food area needs a little help. Overall I like this place you just need to know it is a no frills golf course.
Mohawk. Woodbine
A couple of holes are pretty rough but overall it is a nice layout. The greens are good and I enjoy playing this course. The staff is very friendly, The cafe could use a little help,
Maintenance ?
Holes 11 through 14 have significant growth in the creek banks that are directly in front of the tee boxes. It appears that there has been no (none!) trimming done to these banks this season. What's the problem? Maybe a bit unpleasant work, but really impacts playing 4 of the 9 holes on the back 9. Get your stuff together and do the required work to make the course reasonable to play.
Note: I have played this course many times over the last decade and this is the worst condition I have ever seen the course in.
Good practice course
I was looking for a course to play when I came to Tulsa and GolfNow offered Mohawk for a great price. The course I am familiar with was not in the best of shape I remember it was. The gasoline golf carts are very old but still work. I grew up around this course and it was a good place to play. I hope the city of Tulsa can see the potential and need for this course and fix it up.
It could be better
I've played this course a lot over the years but I think I'm done with it. The greens are decent but they have no bunkers anymore. It's 2$ more to play Page Belcher, which is also a muni course but it's WAAAY better taken care of and in much better shape. There's no value anymore.
