Nice course
Love this course and set up.
Great Spring Golf
The course was in amazing condition for the 10th of March. Fairways were a bit soft which limited roll, but they were very playable. Beautiful course and the removal of so many bunkers has made it more playable for an average golfer.
Very unfriendly to the disabled
When most other courses in the area were 90 degree cart rule the reserve not only wasn't 90 degree they would't allow the disabled to play using a blue disabled flag. Very poor choice, if you're disabled or friendly to disabled people then avoid the reserve golf course.
Best public curse in Oregon
The course condition has been improved very much for play in the wet weather.
Good moments, sloppy norm
Like my golf game, the reserve had places where the course was really playing well. The rest however was really sloppy (wet). As wet as anything in the area; tri mountain, Glendoveer, etc. tough to walk. Greens played well and true tho. Pace of play was terrible for mid january. Else it was fun. For $20 ok, for 50$ in winter, not so ok.
Great course
Staff was great. Course playes well even with the rain the night before
Best I’ve played in PDX (South)
Had a great time playing the south course. Even in the spitting rain, the course played great and the bunkers were drained. Ps. There are a lot of them....bunkers that is. The experience of playing a semi-private course like Reserve is a treat, when playing the muni’s of PDX week after week. Make the drive to The Reserve and enjoy what a well thought out golf course and clubhouse experience feels like, yet still not breaking the bank. I scored a $26 Sunday rate w/cart included on a Sunday. I will be back.
Always looking forward to playing this course
We got a great deal on golfnow. Pace was okay. Layout is great. One of my favorite local courses in Portland.
great day at the Reserve
Cold and foggy first nine. Hit a drive down the middle
on 10. And the sun came out for the rest of the morning.
Fun round with work buddies.
Evolved, upscale semi-private golf done right
As the landscape has changed for upscale non-private golf in recent years, The Reserve Vineyards seems to be as relevant as ever. They do this by keeping one of their courses private for half the month, while letting the public play the other. This means accessible golf and the feeling of having gotten on a private club (including the trappings like gracious service and pristine conditioning). Neat model.
The South Course has adapted to changing times, too. Original architect John Fought's removal of several bunkers, in favor of increased fairway, makes the course more playable but still plenty. Other than a few pedestrian holes on the back nine (12-15), the layout is superb, too. Well worth a play if you're in the Portland area.
Great course greet deal
Could not ask for a better round On a superb track in great shape. Not to mention the price you can’t pass up.
great championship layout
They have 2 great courses here. The south course has hosted seniors tour majors events and limited field PGA events as well as top amateur events. The course conditions are first rate and the staff is outstanding. Last year they completed a 1.5 million dollar renovation on south. I've played a number of top 100 courses here and in Europe and the south course stacks up very well.
Amazing fall conditions
I’ve played the north course a few times, and this was my first time on the south side. For the middle of November, the course was still so well taken care of. Greens were in great shape. Super impressed with the condition of the course.cant wait to get out there again.
South Side
Never gotten to play the south side of this course, usually reserved for members. It was awesome and even with a frost delay, it was in amazing shape and a great challenging course!
Bunker Play
The revision on the South course took out many bunkers. There are still many you can end up in. I would brush up on your bunker play if you are going to play this great course.
Beautiful course
This is one of my favorite courses in the metro area. Great layout, championship quality.
