Awesome course!!
Played with friends who are members in an exclusive course in So. California. They were very impressed!!!
The Reserve South Course
I have played this course for nearly 20 years. The course is in better condition now than it ever has been. A $2 million renovation to the bunkers, as well as removing several bunkers, have made the course even better. Definitely a good choice...
The Reserve Vinayards = Nice
Nice Layout, fast Greens. Booking over GN was no problem.
The Reserve
Renovation of existing bunkers, combined with the removal of almost 40 bunkers was a success. Course is in the best shape it has ever been, congrats to the staff
The Reserve Vineyards
Early AM tee time, no waiting, beautiful day and course in great shape. All that was lacking was consistent play on my part.
Best Course In Portland Area
The Reserve South Course is the best course in the PDX area. Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek is a close 2nd. Reserve wins out on track layout and clubhouse, especially the terrific views from the restaurant deck and restaurant. Always a terrific experience here!
The Reserve Vinyards and Golf South Course is My Favorite
A beautifully scenic course with ample challenges. From well placed sand traps to water features, The Reserve South Course has been a favorite since the days I followed the PGA Pros around the course during the Peter Jacobsen Challenge years. The condition of the course is exceptional for the Portland area and the layout is remarkable for both low and high handicappers.
Recently revamped
The course has been recently modified. Approximately 50 bunkers were removed and some trees. The course is more wide open now and is more playable for the average golfer.
Two great courses. Not sure which one I like more
They took out half of all the bunkers on the South side! It doesn't make it much easier, but it was noticeably more enjoyable. Course is in good shape, though I found the greens to be a little too soft for my taste. Overall a great course, and is one of my favorites in the area.
Reserve golf course exceptional
The GolfNow app was easy to use allowing me to reserve the course I wanted at a very good rate using one of the special hot deals. Confusing on how to pay though. GolfNow said I was prepaid, the golf course said that I had only reserved the tee time by paying and charged us again at the course. Looks like I have paid twice and need to figure how to get my original money back.
Great All Around Experience
Course was in great shape after a wet winter & spring. Greens were firm but receptive, true rolling & smooth! Challenging layout but very fair. Played from the blacks, playing partner played combos. Gave all skill levels a chance to score & rewarded well placed shots. Will definitely play again and can’t wait to try the North Course.
Good, but a smidge elitist.
Like said before, this is a great course with character and a definite respect for the game. The downside is there is definitely an "Us and Them" mentality with the pro shop and club house. Thankfully, you don't spend much time there.
The starter was nice, however, and pretty funny.
As to the course. Summer and winter are definitely way different animals. Summer fairway drives scream down, and you may get your longest drive ever on some of these stretch holes.
South course is preferred for me over North as I'm not a fan of the links-feel sawgrass. I prefer the trees and feel of the South 18 holes (except for the 14th hole which I'm pretty certain has an illegal pin placement 75% of the time as the ball doesn't stop ever.)
Hole 13 is probably my favorite hole on any course anywhere. It's just gorgeous. And 17 with the bridges.
You're not going to have your best game here. Add maybe 3-5 strokes off your usual handicap as this course -will- give you a few bogeys and doubles.
I definitely will be back over and over as I love the course.
I'll just be staying on the course and not the clubhouse.
Second class citizens
The Reserve seems to go out of its way to make public guests, especially prepaid HotDeals visitors, feel like second class citizens to its members. Generally unfriendly pro shop, segregated driving range and putting greens, lots of "MEMBERS ONLY" areas around the club house. The course was nice, and got a great deal, but I didn't feel welcome.
Late winter play
The reserve vineyards in Hillsboro Oregon , has great golf facilities, staff, and food service. We've had a lot of rain in the last couple of months. The ground was soft, and much of the rough was muddy. The ground condition made the 6200+ yardage on the south course, longer. The greens were incredible, and the bunkers, of which there are many on every hole, were recently filled with beautiful white fluffy sand. AWESOME!
this time of year, this is your course to play
paths are all concrete, easy to ride in cart. you will always have a little trouble with wet grass finding your ball but is is still winter.
Plug plug plug (feb play) in this wonderful course
This is awesome course that could use a little better drainage for the winter. We were the first people off the tee so we didn’t have issues with pace. We spent too much time looking for plugged balls. Was even happing on drives in the fairway. Course is pretty long with best bunkers in Portland though. Def one of the nices courses around, just sucks that we had sooo many issues with ball plugging. Cart path only cart(Which is understandable) waterproof golf shoes is a MUST! Very easy course to walk if we did as then holes aren’t too far apart. Greens were really nice and pure and well maintained. Very nice views and might be one of the best looking club houses in Portland!!
Very well maintained
The course and grounds are spectacular but the drainage is not good this time of year. I don't recommend riding and if you walk you need very good water proof shoes and bring an extra towel
Poor drainage
Great layout but fairways were very wet and soggy from recent rains not good during winter season. Also it’s a drag to carry your bags to and from the parking lot because they don’t allow carts outside clubhouse area made worse by several flights of stairs at the entrance, a big turn off.
