Excellent Value
Beautiful cocourse, highly recommend. Fairways are in good shape, greens are true....
Waste of time and money. Will never go back
When we arrived at the course the lady behind the counter informed us that due to course difficulties everyone has to start on hole number 10. Ok, not terrible but inconvenient. We eventually figured it out but there was quite a few golfers confused. We got stopped a couple times asking if we knew where the first tee box was. There was garbage EVERYWHERE along the course and poor landscaping. I only saw the Marshall once, and we complained about the 6 players playing head of us but she offered no help. A few other things but they were minor annoyances. To sum it up, it was my worst time golfing in a very long time. Last time I will golf there.
Wouldn't have wanted to pay more that's for sure.
I understand that Rivers Edge has had very little ongoing maintenance for several years now and it shows. Recently RE has been purchased by the Homeowners association and they have been beginning to start work on a multitude of problems, broken water lines, overgrown sand traps/bunkers, cracked and decomposing cart paths, dry water features, fungus in fairway and greens grass, burrowing rodents to name a few. The beginnings of recent work is encouraging as this is a nice layout and very fun course that has sadly been neglected. Hopefully in a year or two the work will pay off and RE will be on par with other local courses, for now they are not. I'm very glad I had a reduced rate through Golf Now as I would have been very bothered if I had to pay they regular green fee as this course is nowhere near the condition of other local courses. I will certainly play Rivers Edge again but only when I can find discounted rates, eagerly looking forward to watching it's conditions improve with a year or two of proper maintenance.
New Owner
Course was recently bought by HOA off of owner who wanted to build homes instead of having a golf course therefore course was neglected and requires much work.
Avoid Avoid Avoid
The course is in terrible condition and doesn't look to improve under new owership.
Course is lacking maintenance attention
The course is going through management change and it is unclear if the new owners have initiated action to bring the course up to proper playing conditions.
The tee boxes are a mess. The course is overrun with burrowing animals.
The greens are fine and the fairways (other than thousands of burrowing animal holes) are satisfactory.
Not ready for golf!
Great layout but conditions make playing this course a waste - many other good choices in the area. Driving range rate 1 of 5, conditions of the fairways and greens 1 of 10.
But worth it.
Even with a discounted golfnow price this course wasn’t worth what I paid. Tee boxes and greens need some TLC. Traps are hard dirt or huge mud puddles. Many spots were unplayable due to over watering or ground repair. Do yourself a favor and skip it
