First Tee / 9th green Photo submitted by RyanBam on 08/17/2020
Nice residential 9 hole course
Pace of play was very good - walked the course in just over 2 hours. Fairways and greens in good shape for the summer we've had.
Course manager accommodated us by changing our start time to add a third player, but the starter seemed very upset when there was not a fourth player. Almost like he didn't want to let us go.
Well kept course!
Had a great first experience at Claremont. Course is kept In great shape. Only bad thing was the pace of play. The last 3 holes almost took an hour. But overall a good experience.
A Good Course
The condition of the course has improved since the last time I played there. However, the second hole still is ridiculously long for an uphill hole and for a course that caters to many older golfers.
Awful Service!
Starter was so awful receiving us and upon leaving, I felt inclined to write 2 emails to management and left a comment on the course site it's been 4 days I haven't heard anything at all from anyone.
The course is maintained nicely but because of the awful service and lack of care or concern to follow up with a complaint I would never recommend this place to anyone, there's nothing spectacular about this course that makes it a course you MUST play and the service was so awful it turns the mediocre course into a waste of money, if I wanted to get talked at and verbally attacked I'd join an MMA gym.
Nice experience for 9
Quality conditions, moderate course difficulty, friendly neighbors lining the fairways.
The greens are very well kept
Friendly staff, gave my great advice on the first hole.(play to the left)
Easy and open course, had a great time and will be back soon. Would highly recommend to friends
Great Price, Great Course
I have golfed here a few times this year and this last time out was the best. The greens were much better and it was a quiet, peaceful day. The gentleman on the course checking cards was very friendly along with the gentleman at the club house. I will continue to look for the hot deals at this course!
Good challenging course
Claremont is a nice nine hole course. It is well kept and the greens are well maintained. The only thing is I think it is a bit pricey because of the neighborhood it is in. I would recommend this course for intermediate to advanced players. It can be a little too challenging for beginners.
Sloppy, squishy, messy
Nice day but too early. The course was so mushy I lost two balls in the fairway on one hole!
Greens were great!
Greens were outstanding! Very quick and almost like summer conditions. The rest of the course was wet and soggy, but you can't expect more for February golf in Portland!
Nice 9 hole course
Played a 2 hour nine on a Monday mid day. Course was in very good shape. Greens had been punched a couple of weeks ago but no effect on play. Pro shop attendant was friendly and helpful.
Claremont 6-23-14
Claremont worked perfectly as it was close to our homes, no waiting at all through our round, and was a good tune up for a weekday after work quick round.
Great nine hole course
This 9 hole course is always fun with some water features. Green is in great condition.
excelllent shape especially the greens
Although we had a rain delay once we started the course played very well. A great deal for the price, especially for seniors . Also there is no need for a cart as the course is fairly flat.
Claremont -Fun in the sun
Great little nine hole course. Hooked up with some new people. Especially enjoyed playing with "the Piano Man'.
Nice neighborhood course.
Great course for duffers. Level but challenging with water features and two long par 5's. They seem to be winning the battle to keep the geese out.
.course conditions above average
course condition, given the wet time of year, was in great shape and drier than most in surrounding area.
Early in the season
Course is still in rough shape this early with sandy greens and lots of mud. One of the few full-length 9-hole courses around.
