Eagle Crest Resort - Resort Course
About
Eagle Crest Resort boasts two different championship courses. Sprawling across more than 1,700 acres in Central Oregon, the golf courses get over 300 days of sunshine every year. With the Resort Course, it is almost as though you are playing two courses in one. The front nine gives golfers the opportunity to use their driver while the back nine requires pinpoint accuracy with the first five holes featuring out of bounds on both left and right. The signature hole is the par-5 second. This dramatic dogleg right hole tees off eight stories above the canyon floor. If you are confident in your driver, going to the right will put you in a position to go for the green in two but it is definitely risky with the narrow fairway protected by the canyon walls.

The best of the Eagle Crest Resort courses
Eagle Crest resort has two championship courses. I played the Ridge course about a week or so ago and it was a good course. However, this one is better. The course was in great shape and the greens were smooth and in perfect condition. Got a great deal on the GolfNow app. Hole number 2 is really nice. No GPS on cart, so bring rangefinder.
Fun Golf Course
This course is in great condition and greens are superbly maintained. The layout is fun and a little more open on the front compared to the back nine. Homes line the back nine on several holes but definitely playable.
Good course in beautiful Central Oregon
Eagle Crest has two 18-hole courses. This is the shorter of the two. But still plenty of length if you want it. It’s in great shape. Nice Mountain Views. Pretty wide open for the most part but several holes did have desert surrounding the fairways that made you focus on keeping your shots straight. Worth checking out.
Under Const
Need to have beverages at clubhouse while under Const and more cart support for refreshing golfers during summer Const
Nice course
The staff was very friendly, and the course is in really good shape. The only downfall was there a couple times in front of the greens. It was very wet and soggy from extreme watering which made the ball plug or make it hard to chip or put off of, but other than that, it was fantastic!
Not much for a clubhouse (under construction). No cooler on carts. Range balls not included. Greens were in nice shape. Cart ran nicely but no GPS. No beverage cart. Overall it was a nice experience though.
What used to be lovely
My husband and I have played this course for over 20 years. It used to be pristine About 5 years ago, there was an irrigation problem and the course just hasn't recovered.
Eagle Crest Resort Course
The low amenities rating was due to clubhouse being renovated.
Course was in good shape. Not crazy about the first few holes on back nine. They are somewhat tight with houses on both sides of fairway. Other than that it is an enjoyable course.
