Fun in SI
Nice course, pleasantly surprised. Friendly easy going atmosphere. Great deal at GN. Pace of play was awesome during afternoon, fairways and greens nice condition. Like the layout, fun... will be back for sure.

Course was properly cared for this off season, still think $80 is a bit much for the round but ultimately the course is in great condition this year compared to years past where it was unplayable
Greens in good shape
Enjoyed an afternoon round here last weekend while every other city course was packed until 3PM due to the amazing weather. Pace of play moved surprisingly well and greens were in excellent shape for an NYC course. Staff were all very friendly, especially in the Boxwood Cafe. Only complaint was that they don't have any water coolers out on the course at the moment, but had a great round aside from that!

Golf in March
Overall the course is coming along, grass starting to grow and greens filling in. Compared to LaTourett it’s ahead of schedule with maintenance and upkeep. They actually have a starter(Bruno) who was especially nice and accommodating on busy Sunday after washout Saturday. Windy conditions dried out most wet areas and pace of play was better than expected.

Cart path only so slowed it down a bit, course is starting to grow inn. Greens spotty with crab grass patches but it’s still only March! Bruno the starter, super nice! Over all much better than players club at LaTourett which is currently in sad shape. Bunkers have actual sand in it and fairways coming along. Even after rain on Saturday it wasn’t too wet thanks to 20 mph winds!
Wait for better conditions
This is my 4th time playing South Shore. Any one of us are lucky to be golfing this early in the season. I love this course but the tee boxes and fairways are struggling right now. Hopefully the warmer weather and some rain helps them bounce back. Just played winter rules. If u had a bad lie; bring your ball to some grass. Most fairways it was difficult to find any but we made due.
