Greens are Very Good…..
Greens are in great shape. Play it up everywhere else

Interesting layout, needs some work.
I’ve played here five times and appreciate some of the difficult holes that require a well thought out shot. Some holes feel a little gimmicky. My main complaint is the condition of the course. It would be much more enjoyable if the fairways were watered more.
Crazy place to play
Cart girl literally selling hot dogs out of her purse. Bartender didn’t know that you need tonic to make a gin and Tonic and asked if club soda was ok. No food at the turn and people were on top of you all round hitting onto and into you. Don’t play unless you get it for less than $50 a round.
Hidden Gem
Melrose is a great layout but in need of some TLC. Still an enjoyable round and great value with no pace of play issues.
Melrose Country Club
Changes in ownership and lack of resources along with lack of rain have affected course conditions . Nonetheless, it’s a great layout and exc value..
Second round at Melrose
Posted 6000 yards on the card from back tees. Some were up a bit. Fairways and tee boxes 60-40. Greens were ok, a bit soft and slow. The best part of the course is bunkers. Attended to and very nice and playable. 3 stars for the course. Talked a couple times to a very friendly gentleman blowing off tee boxes for league players today. He thanked us for coming out. It was nice to hear. He earned the 4th star of my rating today.
This being my 2nd round here, it was helpful to have some course knowledge. I do not remember all the elevation changes, but the slope of 128 is fair. Reminds me of Deerfield with all the uneven lyes you have to hit from. The last 2 par 3s about 185 yards from blue tees.
I look forward to returning and I would recommend. Just remember, it’s a public course in Philly,
Love Melrose!
Amazing Staff!!! Love the vibe every time im out there. Great, challenging course.
Decent value near Philadelphia
Overall we had a good time. Signage was not the best so some of the holes were tough to find the tee box.
Challenging
Very hilly track. You are faced with many uneven lies from the fairway.
Greens were in good shape, many greens are hard to hit because of big time slopes often on both sides of the green.
Many bunkers as well.

Course needs some hydrating!
Played in the afternoon on 7/11/22, we’ve had a good stint of hot days with no rain. But still, the course was like playing on concrete. So bad you couldn’t get tees in the ground on tee boxes! I don’t know if they have a sprinkler system but watering the greens and fairways would go a long way here
Philly gem
Excellent course challenging fun beautiful scenery
