Course was in decent condition. No major issues greens were fast. More challenging than your average course. Front nine has narrower fairways back nine is a more open. Parking is in the back. Just ignore the first lot and keep going until you get to the course.
Great course and very underrated. I really think this course is a hidden gem and will be playing with friends as often as possible on this course especially after hearing if maybe closing this year.
Good place for a decent round
Good course. Challenging but not overwhelming. Back 9 more open and forgiving.
Decent course for the money paid.
Been a few years since I last played Melrose. For the value it's not a bad course, There were some beat up areas along the way, but it does appear that they are putting some money back into the course, lots of tree work being done. The greens were slow as molasses and far from the better public courses I've played. Will play again later in the season to see if it gets better. Not a bad course at all for beginner golfers.
Melrose
Melrose use to be one of my favorite local courses and now it's not. The greens we're worse then neshaminy and it seems they haven't done any maintenance to get ready for season.
Greens are atrocious
Played this course before and it was mid. Now it is actually terrible. If you hit the green, goodluck, that ball is bouncing 20 feet over like you just hit a cart path. Greens are worst I’ve ever seen, literally like a dead grass laying over a cinder block. Also they charged $62 which is highway robbery. Won’t be coming back until I hear they’ve fixed the greens. Not even fun.
Course in awful conditions
Played here a few times and the course is usually in good shape. Yesterday, however the course was atrocious. Never seen it in such bad shape,
Course conditions
It was only 30$ but the course is in such horrible condition. The greens were maybe the worst I've ever played on. It's a real shame, because the course was amazing back in the day and has just gone down hill so badly. All they have to do is spend some $$ and it could be so easily returned to a beautiful course.
We understand that their water pump is not working. You can already see the effect on the greens. The fairways and rough were will groomed.
Melrose
I would say the tee boxes were in pretty good shape. The fairways were in pretty good shape. but The greens were very hard need a little bit of work. But overall, it is an OK course.
