Macoby Run Golf Course

The attitude of the person signing us in was nasty. When I got to the course he stated Golf Path only. This was the notice on the phone since the previous week. I asked him to check with the greens superintendent , his answer was that a sign on the first hole said "cart path only", meaning the whole course was restricted.. Some of guys played and they told me later that only was for only several holes but they did honor the restriction. Because of the original encounter with this guy, I left very and did not play.

Had to wait at every tee box for 5+ mins and was backed up behind 6 carts on the 9th absolutely terrible pace of play

Really enjoyed this course. First time playing and was a challenging course. Only issue I had was no ranger to speed play, got really backed up by slow play in front of us. But overall can't wait to play it again.

It was a nice round as far as the course conditions go. The pace of play for a Tuesday was awful and not a soul from the clubhouse available to speed up the 3-some ahead of us. They were hitting 2-5 balls each, then going to find the errant shots. There were 3 groups at one point bunched on the par 3 9th hole. Likely will not play this course again. A 5 1/2 hour round is not worth the slightly cheaper price..

Lots of blind shots up and over hills, and the greens are pretty tough. The rough is thick and tough to get out of, so avoid that. But who doesn’t like a nice challenge, right?? I will definitely play here again.

They are working on the course and it shows. Tee boxes were really nice, repaving the cart paths, faster carts, greens in nice shape.

No starter means it backs up by hole 3 every time. I wish they would sort that out. Always three groups on that hole.

Otherwise, keep up the great work! Looking good.

greens little long but rolled true. fairways cut for the mist part. just a great day to play my fourth round this week!

Greens and fairways are in good condition. The only complaint I have is the pace of play was very slow. Our foursome started half hr behind two groups of foursome and twosome and we caught up with them by 3rd hole. Ranger came by a few times but still no one cared and still took too much time looking for their balls. We had to wait 10 minutes pretty much very tee off. 5 hrs round for this course is unacceptable. 4 hrs round should be the most.

wish there was a rule that required courses to post the last date they aerated the greens. macobys must have been very recent as the greens were extremely bumpy and full if holes.
