Nice course SLOW pace
The course is really nice. You can tell that they are repairing areas, but compared to when I was last here, it’s great. The BIGGEST.issue is the pace of play. It’s a Saturday.in November and it’s sunny/over 70 degrees! On the 3rd hole, there were 12 people waiting. On the ninth hole, 16 people waiting!! If it were not for these backups, I’d rate this course a 5.
Course is in great shape, greens are lightning fast and firm, played after we have had rain for a few days and the course was pretty dry. The only thing I can complain about is that this course is an hour away from where I live. Otherwise I’d play it a few times a week.
Worth the drive
Great layout. Entertaining course. Tea boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape. I would love to play here again.
Good
Fun course but challenging. Pace of play was slow due to an older 4some 2 groups ahead of us. Good course, would try it again to go for a lower score!
Great Course, 5 somes should not be allowed
This continues to be one of my favorite courses in the area. Beautiful views, well maintained course. However, the lack of ranger or monitoring seems to be a continuous problem. Our play time was over 5 hours today. 2 groups ahead was a 5 some that took their time all day long. We waited for the group in front of us to tee off every time we pulled up to the next tee. The weather was great and didn't play horrible. But 5 hours is a bit much and could have been remedied.
Slow pace
Pace of play is too slow. 6 hours is too long for a round. If you play at a normal to faster pace is can be very frustrating. Waiting 10 minutes at each tee box is too long. Took an hour to play the first 3 holes. The first time I played here I had a 3:04 Tee time and couldn’t finish 18 due to how slow the pace of play was. Course is fun but poorly run. Desperately needs a ranger.
Slow pace
It shouldn’t take 6 hours to play a round. This course desperately needs a ranger. The pace of play is an issue every time but today it was the worst I’ve see it. It took and hour to play the first 2 holes. Multiple time 4 groups were backed up on the same tee box. I love the course, but it’s poorly managed.
Challenging but so slow
I have played here about 6-7 times and every time the backup at hole 3 is 3-4 groups. Average time is 4:30. The course is in good shape and always fun to play. Great value, but a ranger would help things as pace of play is slow.
First time playing this course and I really enjoyed it. Played with 2 friends and they enjoyed it as well, but we could all agree on one thing: The pace of play was very poor. We were stuck behind a group of the 3 that was playing slowly and it held up multiple groups behind us as well. Groups were teeing off very close together and it turned a 4 hour round into a 5.5 hour round. everything else about this course was great but I wish that the pace wasn't such an issue.
Great local course
My bf plays here every Saturday in a “league” so I tend to come here a few times a season. Great little course. Conditions appear a bit unkept but the fairways and rough are easy to hit out of. Some ladies tees are extremely uneven (turtle back). Some challenging, interesting and fun holes. During the summer they do have a few holes that are infested with locust killers (large bees that don’t bother you) but it is still a distraction. Went on a day that was forecasted for lots of rain but we got lucky and only drizzled the first 10 min of our teetime. So the course was fairly empty and we could take our time. But I do enjoy playing here. My bf has played every Saturday for years, along with his golf buddies some of whom have been playing here since the 80s!
Nice place; bad pace
Terrible pace. Ranger didn’t do anything. Don’t recommend this place if you play at a normal pace.
Pretty solid
It was a pretty decent course. Would be very difficult if you wanted to walk the course. Lots of hills and many bridges. All of the par 3’s were really enjoyable, most par 4’s were below 400 yards.
