Very Nice Course; FAST Greens
I typically play Bucknell Golf Course 3 or 4 times a year; this was my first time golfing it in almost two years. Overall, the course was in very good shape; the tee boxes are level and well maintained, fairways were in wonderful condition, sand traps had nice consistency, but the greens were hard and super fast, much faster than those on other courses that I play more often. Putting downhill was absolutely treacherous today! If not for the fast greens and the slow pace of play, I would have given the course a 5-star rating.
Great day
Course conditions were close to perfect, greens smooth and fast, tee boxes and fairways were very good. 2 of us zipped through in 3.20 on a Monday afternoon.
Course could use better markings from hole to hole, not always obvious when heading to the next hole. Didn't eat/use restaurant.
Bucknell Golf Club
Pristine conditions in fairways and greens. Fun course to play. Challenging but fair. Will be back!
First time at Bucknell
Beautiful course and well taken care of. It was a little challenging the first time playing it. I think it would be a great time next time we go there.
great golf outing
Despite the fact that it rained some, but fortunately not the whole day; it was a great day to play golf. The course is well maintained. And the staff are all very friendly.
perfect day of golf
This is a well maintained course. All the staff was friendly and polite. We couldn't have asked for a better day to golf, since the weather was perfect.
Great course. If I could afford go be a member I would!
very nice course
This was our first time to play this course. It was recommended to us by a friend. This was a very nice course to play. Well maintained. Would recommend this course to others.
Cloudy Spring Day
Another great day at the office! Grass was lush, greens a little bumpy but it’s early in the spring.
Fun Course to Play
Good challenge of golf but not overwhelming. Fairways are in excellent shape and greens roll very true and nice. Not extremely long from white tee's but, must be accurate and put ball in a good position to score. Greens are well bunkered and have some thick greenside rough if you miss your target. Excellent staff and course! Highly recommend.
With most courses burnt out right now, Bucknell was green almost all over. Good day on the course.
Tough test
BGC is an old-style, place-your-ball kind of course. It played hard and fast today. You didn’t want to land the b-ball pin high or putt down hill. Good course. Highly recommend.
Pro Shop Bulling Needs to Stop
The guy in the pro shop IRKED me so much it befuddled me. It has since propelled me to write this review- my first on golf now. Why do guys in the pro shop act like me walking into their golf shop is any different then a customer walking into a business. He scoffed at me when i didn't have a tee time as a single and then looked down at a very meagerly filled tee sheet and without making eye contact he dismissed me and said no shot of getting out. Even if this was the case - his customer service was terrible and i wouldnt reccomend this course to anyone - i played nine the day before and its short and overpriced. Good try Bucknell.
