Landis Creek Golf Club

About
Just a short drive from King of Prussia, Landis Creek Golf Club (previously known as Limerick Golf Club) is situated right along the border of Chester County and Berks County. Opened in 1965, the course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for all skill levels. In 2012, the golf course changed ownership and also underwent a major renovation. The greens were reconditioned and the irrigation system improved, which has elevated the conditions of the course. The layout is a classic links design that is mostly open though there are a few mature trees that call for accuracy. Strategically placed bunkers provide challenges throughout but you won't find much water on this golf course, though there are two lakes that come into play occasionally. Landis Creek Golf Club has some tricky holes but overall it's gentle enough for beginners to approach with confidence.

Horrible
Absolutely horrible. Greens are hard as a rock no water in the last six months or so feels like. Course conditions no mowing know anything to make this nice just an absolute horrible experience. My name will never be on the scorecard here again.
Great potential
Course in kinda short so good for us not so big hitters. Fairways were rock hard from lack of rain lately but I suspect it to be much better when the weather improves. Greens were recently aerated but just about back from it. A few bunkers were wet and at least one with standing water, obviously a correctible condition from a watering error. Most other bunkers were in good shape. Carts were new with onboard GPS which shows hole layouts, distances, keeps score, warns when in unauthorized areas and I am sure much more. The tempo was a little wonky as I was in a foursome and had two singles catch up throughout the round and we allowed to play through. Don’t know why two singles in two time slots in a row? No biggie. Bar and restaurant seemed very nice although I did not patronize. All in all, I got a great price on an enjoyable round of golf. Will definitely be back
great course
I love playing here. The greens where air-rated but other than that the course was great for the price
N/A
Course was punched but when we checked in guy at club house didn’t even mention anything to us about aeration of the green .. plus we paid full price for green that wasn’t playable.. holes weren’t filled with sand 🥲
Very disappointed!
Nice place, I just played it at the wrong time.
4 stars place. Thought everything here was nice but the greens. ( air raided without sand in most of the holes ) Pro shop and started where awesome. The only thing i didn’t like was the air raided greens without sand. Made it twice as hard to putt.
Pace of play: for 20 min gaps between tee times. We waited on every hole after 2nd hole.
As expected
Staff on the turn was very flat. Not welcoming like the starter. He was cool. Hard sand bunker (the worst) sone with puddles of water in them, greens were dried out. Fairways were dried out and hard.
Layout is open but playing here is budget dependent. Usually I pay a bit more to get on a well maintained course.
Traps were generally in good condition. Too many of the fairways were very hard. Tough to get any kind of divot with a short iron. Greens were pretty beaten up. Staff was friendly. Stan, the starter, was very friendly and offered good information. I will play it again, but will wait a while to give it a chance for course conditions improve.
Lots of improvements
Fun course to play. Tough stretch to start the back nine. Hard tee boxes and sand. Just a layer of sand over concrete it felt like. I tossed a ball into the sand out of curiosity and it bounced 3-4 feet up in the air. Hard tee boxes are understandable with how hot it’s been but couldn’t get the tee all the way in on some par 3s and hole 11. Add some more sand to the bunkers and it’s a great course for the money. Or just don’t hit it in the bunkers.
