Perfect condition
The course layout is challenging and fun. The greens were in very good shape which means very fast.
One of best courses in the area
Greens weren't that fast but they rolled true. They were rolling about 9.5. If i had to play here everyday I would be happy. In town for a couple days and knew i wanted to play here. It was a good call. I will be back next time im in town. For sure
Great course, great condition
I was in Pitt. for one weekend and had time for one round - looked at Old Stonewall and Totteridge b/c I like those architects, but with price and distances prohibiting I went with Quicksilver. Was pleasantly surprised - course was in excellent condition, even after overnight/morning rain. So, very wet, but not terrible puddling, good drainage. Greens hadn't slowed too bad, fairways were excellent; rough was up a bit, so on a course never played, with several blind shots, lost a couple just off the fairway simply b/c never could find. Really beautiful course though, nice layout, good routing. Staff was very nice. My only (minor) complaint on routing was that the par 3's all played the same distance (from white) with slope, so used the same club on all four of them, and that's just a pet peeve of mine. Staff was super friendly.
All in all, a really nice course in great condition, especially for the price, these days.
The course was being great in condition. The greens were receptive but pretty fast.
Amenities nice bar staff and grow shops gap. The starter was a little irritating. Kind of a smart Alec. But definitely worth the trip.
Well maintained, fun, and challenging course
I've only played the course twice, as it is not too close to my home and the standard greens fees are higher than what I'm used to. I've played it twice now when I could play at the late afternoon rate or get a special rate, though. The course is beautiful and challenging. It was very well maintained both times I played. It's as nice as what you'd expect for the standard greens fees. Lots of rolling hills. Greens are fast with a good bit of slope.
Best Public Course in Western PA
Great we'll maintained challenging course. Played a family round and with the tee box set ups we were able to get around the course at everyone's level. Friendly staff. Mid week round and at noon was not crowded at all on course. Greens rolled nice and fairway in good shape Best public course I've played in Western PA. Highly recommend.
Wish there was a pace Marshall
It was my first time playing this course, the course was well kept, fairways were cut good and the greens were clean and at times felt like putting on glass but fair. Course definitely brings a challenge on certain holes. The only thing that hurt my experience was the pace, I got stuck behind a group of four by the 13th hole and I was a single golfer playing, it took an hour and a half to play the rest of the holes. I wish there was a pace Marshall on the course to help speed up the pace or have the group of four let me play through.
Course in great shape
The course is in great condition. The greens and fairways
are really nice. The pace was good
overall good - but painfully slow
Very slow play caused an otherwise good experience to be bad - had times where there were 3 groups on a tee - no marshal in sight
Serenity Now
Beautiful layout, great conditions. Not for the faint of heart. Rough is no joke- don't hit it there and you'll be fine. Greens roll true. Love it will be back time and time again.
