Quicksilver Golf Club

Pace of play was a little slow today. Kind of typical for this time of year.

Greens were bumpy. Many puts hopping rather than rolling. Otherwise a great experience.

I heard great things about this course when I moved to the area so I decided to try it out. I was really disappointed when I arrived to find they had aerated their greens. Don’t get me wrong, I understand it’s a necessity. Unfortunately, they chose to do it before every other course in the area, knowing it was the last weekend of great weather. Also they were still charging full price, which no course should do knowing that aerated greens take much of the fun and value out of your round. It was a nice course and I would certainly return under normal playing conditions. But I would hope in the future they would consider better communication with the public about when they are aerating and understand that charging full price for fall course conditions is not good practice.

I enjoyed playing this course. The only negatives are the greens are being aerated now and the bunkers are a bit hard and stoney.

But needs a little guide for slow players

I booked through GolfNow for a 6PM tee time, drove an hour to the course and was told my time was cancelled and that GolfNow should have told me. This course did not assist me in any way and said I needed to deal with Golfnow for a refund. Raincheck was turned down even though this was a course booking problem.

I was one of 4 groups who were booked that evening and turned away. Quicksilver should take responsibility, I did not need to waste 2 hours driving just to be turned away from my already paid for tee time. I do not waste my time writing reviews, but this course did nothing to make Up for their mistakes. Triple check with them if you want to golf here.

Course in great shape. Defined.fairways, tee boxes and greens exceptional. We had a great day.

Staff is always terrible at QS. Course layout is easily the worst in Pittsburgh. Way overpriced. I’ll never understand the appeal of this course.

This is my favorite course, but they let a group of 5 play in front of us and they were awfully slow. Both skill level and general pace. Not getting ready while others are hitting, hitting multiple balls, parking far from the green, etc..
