Mount Airy Golf Club
About
Situated amidst the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Mt. Airy Golf Club sprawls across lush rolling hills covered with lakes and ponds. There are also wandering streams that cut across the course. This demanding layout requires accuracy over distance with tree-lined fairways and a wildly undulating terrain. Golfers will be faced with tricky uneven lies as well as several blind shots. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. The golf course is challenging but high handicappers should not be too discouraged since it can also be quite forgiving, especially on the fairways, which offer some room for error. Mt. Airy is a demanding course, but the interesting hole designs are fun to play and the beautiful setting will make the round worth it even if your score is less than perfect.

Beautiful setup and bit challenging
Never be bored for this course because each hole has unique setup so makes you think.
Ball not always go as you plan but always enjoying regardless of score
Overall, a great experience
First time playing Mt Airy this past weekend and i was very happy with the experience. The course was in great shape except for the sand traps which were a mess, but i think it was due to the recent heavy rain. Pace of play was a little slow but expected on a Sunday. Food at the restaurant was really good and staff was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this course and cannot wait to go back and play it again
Great Course
Blind uphill shot on #1
Take a look at it at top of hill on right about 1/4 mile before entrance to casino.
Great course!
Best bet playing Mt Airy golf
Course is in beautiful condition, if you haven't played here before buy a yardage book and hit to spots as there are some blind shots out there. Very fun layout
Great Course
We had a great experience at this very nice golf course. Course was in great shape, play moved quickly and you cannot beat the special rate of $21 with fees offered by GOLFNOW. Course is challenging but playable for all levels of players except beginners. Would highly recommend. Be careful of the pond on number one at the top of the hill!
First time here
Course was in excellent condition. Staff was very accomadating. Only problem was slow play but in all fairness it was extremely hot that day which may have been a factor. Highly recommend
Must play course
Great value, staff and course. Pace was a little slow, though not surprising for Sunday afternoon. Was impress that range warden was out ensuring foursomes were moving along.
soso
no good for beginner & too far at our citi
Great course - eat before you get there...
let me start off by saying - this course is great. Beautiful layout, tough greens, more than reasonable rates (Golfnow rate of $45 with cart on a Friday? Unreal) Would absolutely go back there - I just wouldn't eat there ever again. Overpriced, terrible lunches - Rolls were stale and cold, my "Italian Sandwich" was about as Italian as a Guinness...that being said, the wait staff was good, there was just no enjoying the pre-round lunch. One suggestion about the course - upgrade the bunkers- very little sand in any of them.
very solid course, could be better
This is a solid course and well worth the $30 twilight rate I paid. I was glad to play with someone who knew the course. He definitely provided some important insights. Even so, this course is a "quirky" tough layout. There were some really memorable/"unique" holes. #13 is certainly one of them. I liked the back 9 a lot more since it's more open and more straight forward.
The course is by no means perfect. The sandtraps could use some TLC and the greens were a little on the slow side. #7 and #13 are two of the worst par 5's I've ever played. No par 5 should ever be a layup off the teen. #7 I hit 3 straight 4 hybrids to reach the green in regulation. #13 is visually impressive but between the 220 yard layup off the tee and ever present sewage treatment plant it leaves a lot to be desired.
If you're in the area it's worth your time to play. Just don't expect some high-end casino/resort course. This is certainly not a Turning Stone level facility. In fact, I can't help but think at some point Mt Airy is going to completely renovate the course. There's about 4-5 holes that should be blown-up and completely redone. #3, #7, #8, #13 and #16 should be the first to go....
Fun course with tons of wildlife
Course was in excellent condition. Elevation changes and tight tee shots on some holes make this a challenging course. Was lucky enough to be paired with an experienced golfer of the course to get some insider knowledge on many holes. Enjoyed it so much I went back the next day!
Spring Training Golf Trip
Mt Airy was a fabulous course and without a doubt the best price on our Spring Training Golf Trip down the east coast and back home via the Appalachians
Very friendly people who went out of their way to make you comfortable.
Course was in excellent shape and a lot of fun to play.
Great course for price
Had a 10:40 tee time and only had a twosome in front of us. 3 1/2 hour round. If possible play with someone who has played the course before as multiple holes had blind shots. Greens were tough if you place the ball on the wrong part of green. Definitely a challenge but enjoyed the course. Sand traps need work though. Restaurant pricy, beer & soda was 8
Great course
The layout of this course is fun and challanging.
Well worth your time
I nailed this on a Golfnow Friday hot rate of $10. It was a sunny, but blustery fall day. I drove an hour and 20 mins from Binghamton NY to play as a solo, as all my normal golfing buddies were busy. The course was pretty much deserted, with only 5 other cars in the lot. The starter was cordial and I was quickly through the check in process and ready to go. The couple that I was supposed to be paired with asked to play alone, as one of them was a newbie, so the starter sent me off alone on the back 9 first. I was thankful for that and played the back 9 unobstructed in an hour and 20 mins. I made the turn with a wave to the starter and breezed through the front 9 in nearly equal time. The course is beautifully maintained and well designed. This is mountain golf at its best, with lots of elevation change and little room for mistakes. As such, don't expect to shoot your career low round here. I hit the bar after the round and had a sandwich and a couple beer. Staff were courteous and the food tasty. It was a day we'll spent. I'll definitely be back.
Great game!
The conditions were great this day. Staff was very accommodating. Cart was prepared upon arrival and loaded by the staff. Was a slow day so not overly crowded. Course was in great condition and scenery was amazing.
Mount Airy
I read a ton of reviews on the course before playing it for the first time. It is an extremely hilly course, both up and down. We arrived a little early and the starter was able to get us out early as a twosome. It seems like this course really pushes the pace of play which is great. There is a sign outside the pro shop letting you know that and we also saw the ranger about 6 or 7 times during the round. Even at the turn, when ordering hotdogs and a candy bar, they bring it out to you on the course so that play does not stop moving.
First hole out of the gates is an up hill par 5 that you are looking up at. It has a pond that you cannot see right about the 150 marker. It is a tough hole to start on especially with no driving range. There is a few doglegs that drop down to the green. Some I would say around 50 feet. There is a lot of blind shots that would require you to play a few times to get your distances and clubs correct. There is a good amount of water on the course, which always keeps the round fun. I really did not think any of the holes were unfair but some of the design left me scratching my head.
The greens were in great shape, rolled very nicely but were a little hard and tough to hold. The fairways were in nice shape and the rough was a little patchy at times. Overall, the shape of the course was great
Beautiful course
Except for the blind shots where a very good drive wound up 200ft down into a ravine the course was ok. Its tough as My courses go but in mint condition. Not for beginners or hackers.
Great features; know where the hazards are.
GPS was more than helpful playing course for first time. Straight shots are good but many shots needed to be L or R to avoid water and hazards on 1st 'n 2nd shots. Lay-ups were big! Challenging course; looking forward to playing it again.
