Mount Airy Golf Club
About
Situated amidst the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Mt. Airy Golf Club sprawls across lush rolling hills covered with lakes and ponds. There are also wandering streams that cut across the course. This demanding layout requires accuracy over distance with tree-lined fairways and a wildly undulating terrain. Golfers will be faced with tricky uneven lies as well as several blind shots. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. The golf course is challenging but high handicappers should not be too discouraged since it can also be quite forgiving, especially on the fairways, which offer some room for error. Mt. Airy is a demanding course, but the interesting hole designs are fun to play and the beautiful setting will make the round worth it even if your score is less than perfect.

Best value course in the Pocanos
Great course very challenging with a lot of water great views and even the occasional deer coming on the stop play. Amazing value - it was like playing on a $150 course.
Challenging Course - Great Views - Excellent Value
We found the staff at Mount Airy very welcoming...especially loved Jerry's helpful hints re: holes 1, 7 and 13. Immaculate conditions, amazing views throughout. This was a tough/challenging course for our large group of 4 juniors, 2 dads (plus 2 caddie-moms). Would recommend without hesitation. The only negative was the lack of practice facilities, otherwise a great value.
Terrible
This course has no business being rated over 1 star. Played Jack Frost National, Buck Hill, and Great Bear in poconos region. Mt. Airy was by far the worst out of the 4. All the other 3 courses were true golf courses, this is not. Do not waste your money on this course. Bunkers were terrible and the fairways had weeds in them. Will never play this course again.
GolfNow price
At the GolfNow price this course was an excellent value very challenging and enjoyable!
Challenging but fun
Course has had irrigation and drainage work done in the past which certainly shows in the great conditions of the course as compared to the past.
The new clubhouse is beautiful which has just about everything you would expect in a clubhouse.
We were a two-some and weren't paired up which makes for a more enjoyable round. (Had stinkers for 18 holes after being paired up in previous rounds which we don't feel is necessary since we can keep up with the best of them. Makes for an ugly stressful round which should not be at a resort).
Mount Airy Golf
Interesting course with lots of elevation changes. Played on a Saturday afternoon behind a very slowww group. No beverage cart or marshal to ease the pain.
Really nice course
Greens were well groomed, fairways in great condition, I always have a good round when I play here
First time back
This was my first time back since the new ownership had taken over. The course layout has not changed with the exception of hole 16 being shorten to a par 4. Course was in good condition, Tee boxes could use some work other wise not bad. New club house is a tremendous improvement over the old facility and the staff was very friendly. They do need to add distance improved signage on fthe 1st and 13th holes. It would be nice to know how far to the pond on hole one and how far until the fairway runs out on thirteen. Overall, I would recommed if in the area give it a shot.
Fun tough course
The course was beautiful but difficult for beginning folders.
Tough course but very nice
The course is challenging but pretty and the staff is friendly. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a course that offers an above average challenge.
The music from adjoining casino ruined the day.
Everything about the course is good to excellent - extremely better than the last time I played the course. However, the blaring music from the pool area at the casino was beyond annoying. Carribean, heavy metal, hard rock was blaring nonstop. This is fine if you are on a cruise, or a nightclub - but trying to play a relaxing game of golf, nearly impossible. Not the courses fault, but I for one will not play there again.
Great but slow
This is a challenging, picturesque, but slow course, oh and very long, due to the layout of hitting up hill on a lot of the fairways. Only got to play front 9 twice due to the pace of play, sooo slow that turning to ten we were at the 2.5 hour mark already and there were 3 foursomes on the 10th hole!!! But starter let us play front again and we got 18 in under 5 hours.
Excellent elevation changes
I had played this course many times in years past. I had always found it to be a good test of my golfing abilities and a very challenging course.
I had not played it since the former mount Airy Lodge was torn down and the casino erected. The course was still essentially the same except they had shortened considerably the tee box for hole 16. Apparently because the parking lot is now to the left of the hole and cars were being hit by tee shots; still fun hole , butch shorter.
Great course but challenging!!!
It is a well laid out course. Fairways are narrow so you must hit the fairway to score well. Very challenging but fun to play.
Exceptional value for the money
Great views, well maintained course, very clean, challenging but not impossible.
250 times playing it par on 1st once. Lol
I grew up 5 min away. It's pretty hard. I mean very hard lowest score ever was 94. I complain for days after playing. Lol. But if you want to test your game go here. almost had a hole in 1 yesterday. No 9. 4 inches. My friend did score a 79 with 11 birdie putts he missed most :(. Even with a gps it's hard. Sand is very rocky. Shawnee sand is awesome. See I'm complaining. It's not the courses fault but user error. I would love to see a golf pro play it on tour. My brain hates the first hole that's why I start off terrible. Usually with a snowman. I love hate it. Did have 4 birdies in a row once.
Awesome
Great course, in really nice shape, challenging and really fun to play. Designed after the 18 hardest holes in the US at the time. Beautiful. Def give it a shot.
great course
excellent and challenging made you place your shot not a wide open bash fest. greens rolled nicely and were in great condition.
A Long,Long Time Ago
Target golf at its best right from the 1st hole!!! Uphill par 5 w/water everywhere. Almost every hole has a pond, lake, etc somewhere & blind shots are plentiful. If you can't hit it straight, you're going for a half dozen balls for sure. Heavy rain kept us on the paths, which lead to a long tiring day. It is very hilly & from path to ball & back to cart got tedious towards the end of the day. In the Poconos the temperature is a bit cooler & the breeze cuts thru you if your not prepared for the conditions. Grass up there is just starting to grow now & greens weren't fully grown in after a brutal, snowy winter. Must have been 20-25yrs. since I've played here & in season I'm sure it must be better. They've done some enhancements to the irrigation system which has to help the overall conditions of the turf. Not sure I'll be back there soon, but we enjoyed ourselves despite the wet, cool, breezy day we played. The scenery is GREAT!!!
not bad
There may have been some rain the night before, so they didn't cut the greens, so it was horribly slow. No practice green or driving range.Course Design though is excellent and their hamburgers around the turn are quite good. For $23 for 18 holes and cart included excellent value.
