Mount Airy Golf Club
About
Situated amidst the beautiful Pocono Mountains, Mt. Airy Golf Club sprawls across lush rolling hills covered with lakes and ponds. There are also wandering streams that cut across the course. This demanding layout requires accuracy over distance with tree-lined fairways and a wildly undulating terrain. Golfers will be faced with tricky uneven lies as well as several blind shots. Water hazards also come into play on several holes. The golf course is challenging but high handicappers should not be too discouraged since it can also be quite forgiving, especially on the fairways, which offer some room for error. Mt. Airy is a demanding course, but the interesting hole designs are fun to play and the beautiful setting will make the round worth it even if your score is less than perfect.

not bad
There may have been some rain the night before, so they didn't cut the greens, so it was horribly slow. No practice green or driving range.Course Design though is excellent and their hamburgers around the turn are quite good. For $23 for 18 holes and cart included excellent value.
A gem of a course
Mt. Airy has been my favorite course in the Poconos area for many years. This is my first since the renovation was done. The clubhouse amenities is very impressive and topped only by the excellent service of the staff. The weekday special was a steal! I highly recommend this course.
Good experience
Really nice course, in good condition for this time of the year. Ended up replaying the front 9 for a total of 27. Will definitely play again this summer if I am in the area.
Great views; awkward course
Just didn't like the course. Too many blind shots and awkward lies. Par-5's other than #18 are not good holes. Nothing against the staff or the overall conditions (although rough), we understand the toll the winter took on courses in the Northeast. Would STRONGLY recommend the course investing in GPS units; would make it much more enjoyable. Not in a hurry to go back or recommend to a friend
the course offers risk reward
the course was in good condition for april, it should be better as the season goes on. the greens were a little slow and needed to be cut and rolled
I'll definitely be coming back!
Loved the layout of this course! Very scenic, and challenging. Played it early in year so it was wet and not as green as it will probably get, but I knew by the 7th or 8th hole that I'll be coming back to play here again!
Nice Time w the family
Golfed w wife n kids, nice time!
Other than the first hole which is querky, enjoyed the day!
Early Season
Conditions were slightly better than expected for this early in the season. I look forward to playing this course again in the near future. The food and drinks are outrageously overpriced.
Beautiful scenery
Course in good shape after terrible winter, Air rated some greens.
Too slow
They over book this course all the time. Takes 5 hrs plus to play 18. Very bad for your golf game to have to wait 20 minutes a hole to tee off. Don't waste your time unless you like 5 -6 hr days on the course
One of my favorites.
I'm a local of the Poconos and Mount Airy is one of my favorite courses. It's designed after the "18 best holes of America". In and out of season the course is in fantastic shape. With no ranger keeping people at pace it can get backed up sometimes during the busy hours. It lacks any practice facilities or else it would definitely get a 5 star from me. All in all a good, tough, very fun course that has good value. Would definitely recommend.
Enjoyable course and good value, but pace of play was slow.
Course is well maintained and the greens were in good shape. The course is fair but challenging, and a great value for the price I paid. Unfortunately, there were two very slow threesomes in front of us - it took almost three hours to play the first nine holes. The couple I was paired with left after the nine because they had to get to a function. The starter let me play the front nine again because by that time it was mostly open; otherwise I would not have been able to get in eighteen before dark.
Nicely kept course and conditions
For the price, it was a great day of golf with georgeous weahter and conditions.
Great course
Great golf course for a great price of $25. Views were excellent and the course was challenging. We couldn't tell it had been rain for the past couple days as well. If you're in the Pocono's it's a must play at the price!
Hard course
This course requires a perfect shot on all holes. Don't miss anything or you will be sorry.
This course is very nice
This course is very well kept. The greens are perfect and it is very challenging. The staff is very helpful and very friendly.
Slow play outweighs good features
I last played Mt. Airy twenty years ago. I stopped playing there, in part, because the pace of play was so bad. I played on Sunday, October 6, 2013, and the pace of play is still a problem. The front nine took three hours and the back about two hours and five minutes. It is a well maintained course with some interesting holes and and a couple poorly designed ones (blind hazards in landing areas). The course is challenging and there seemed to be a lot of high handicappers playing (casino guests?), which contributes to the slow play. It may be better to play during the week. If I could have played it in four hours or less, I would have no complaints.
Great course for the money!
Very challenging golf course with fast greens. You will use every club in the bag to navigate around this course.
Great course for the price
This is a great course for the price. Well maintained and very challenging.
I bet you'll like this course!
Very challenging for the beginner & intermediate golfers. (In my humble opinion) The greens were in great shape and slightly fast (which I personally prefer) and the fairways are in good condition. (If you can hit them and stay on)
It' a great deal for the money so GO PLAY!!!
