About
Opened in 1923, Reading Country Club is one of the area's oldest golf courses. Located less than a half hour from King of Prussia, the course is easily accessible from anywhere in the greater Berks County area. Though it has a traditional layout that doesn't have the length that most modern courses do, that hasn't stopped it from being one of the most challenging public golf courses in Berks County. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course will test you with lightning fast, undulating greens that are protected by sand traps and there is punishing rough bordering the narrow, tree-lined fairways. Be prepared for uphill shots and blind approaches throughout the golf course. Reading Country Club's par 3s are especially notable for their difficulty.

People playing there are ignorant
I had a guy almost hit me and my gf without saying fore when we only a hundred yards away from him. A group of gentlemen behind us were rude because we let a group go in front of us at home and didn’t let them when we were in the middle of playing that hole.
Nice course
Early season course conditions looking forward to playing Again.
Short but challenging course
This is my first time playing Reading Counrty Club. The course design has interesting elevation changes, short fairways but challenging green layout. Pace of play is excellent. Our foursome finished 18 holes within 4 hours. Conditions of bunkers need to be improved (almost no soft sand). Great value for money. I’ll definitely be back again
winter/spring golf
I love the track at this course. Didn't mind that some of the greens looked like they were airated fairly recent. Maybe not, but the rain after this play should help immeasurably.
Laid back staff and good pace
Took my 3YO son with me on a laid back Thursday afternoon. The stafff were very nice and very interactive. Course is in good “pre-season form” as it’s only started getting into spring. Course is short with a few instances where some trees could use some trimming, but all in all it was a great way to celebrate the first day of spring

Different renovations being done to spruce up the place and make it more playable. Couple trees removed etc.
Outstanding Course
A very good course. Definitely one of the best in the area. It was a good experience. Met some very nice players ahead of us who invited my palying partner and I to join them. It was a very pleasant outing.
2nd time playing RCC and each time I have joined up with players I met there and have a pleasant experience playing.
Outstanding Golf Course
I was a single player, playing RCC for the first time. At hole #2, I paired up with another single player that was playing behind me. He knew RCC well and gave me plenty of tips. I enjoyed playing with the gentleman. It was one of my better golf outings and I got one of my lowest scores ever. Great Course with many good challenges. Very friendly and welcoming staff! Definitely will be playing RCC as often as possible..
Reading CC is a Venerable Track
RCC is a great, traditional style layout. Full of history and still a challenge. It’s not too long but will still challenge every club in the bag. Conditions were very good despite recent green aeration. Only complaint is rough cart paths.
Historic, fun, great value
Drove the hour from Philly after reading the immense history of this place. Pretty awesome to play a Ryder Cup course where Bryon Nelson used to call home. As a golf nerd, this place is a real joy.
The course is in good shape. The layout and topography are excellent. The price is incredible compared w Philly courses.
Make the drive. It’s worth it.
