The condition of the course is awesome! Greens are smooth and rolling pretty quick, fairways and well maintained... One of my favorite courses to play

I'm a sucker for the old, tight, shotmaking courses and Reading CC is one of my favorites. The greens are always true and quick. Tom and the golf staff are great as well. I just wish I lived closer so that I could play here more often!

5hr round played there over 100 times never took more than 4hrs . Course conditions were average at best group 2 ahead had 3 holes open no marshalls,played earlier in the year was in good shape

The course is challenging, well maintained and tough for the average golfer because of the undulating layout.

Overall the course was in good condition for the middle of August. The greens were a little beat up from the use over the season. The value was great for a Thursday afternoon and with only a few people ahead of me I was able to getting a round in just over 3 hours. There is a great restaurant/bar to celebrate your round.

Booked a single tee time and was paired up with another player of similar level (both in the 90s). Moved quickly through the first few holes and caught up with a group (4) in front of us. We were held up on the tees and fairway for most of the remaining 13 holes (not the fault of the course). It would have been nice for them to let the two of us play through, however, that did not happen. Overall I enjoyed the experience. Course was in good shape considering the mixture of weather we have had lately.

Completely unexpected... in a great way! I could spend a lot of time here, but by wife and kids would NOT approve.

Challenging to the mid-handicapper. Greens were quick and the grounds crew made sure each green was consistently quick. Well maintained from tee to green. The layout made you think about each shot. Not a particularly long course, but there were instances, like the par 5 5th hole that forces you to lay up. Unless you're Dustin Johnson, unlikely you're getting there in 2. Lots of danger on the front 9. Loved the par 3 6th hole that was probably elevated 35-45 ft above the tee box. It's an intimidating tee shot for sure, since you can't see the green, oh and don't be short.... trust your abilities or pray.

I enjoyed the front 9 more than the back, despite scoring better on the back, due to the heat as the day got hotter. By the 16th, we finally encountered a back-up and at that stage of the round I just wanted to be in the clubhouse with a cold beer and central air.

The facilities are great... definitely recommend you stick around after the round for a few drinks and food at the Castle Pub.

Since the first half of the course is located next to route 422, it was noisy with exhaust fumes. But after that part of the course was completed, it was quiet and relaxing to golf this course.

Everything is in great shape. The greens are perfect and fast. My hat goes off to the maintenance crew. I always love playing here.

Had passed RCC several times on the way to Reading from King of Prussia but never had a chance to play. Very happy we fiinally did. Course and the entire facility exceed expectations, greens and fairways are in excellent condition. Great layout, par 3s all challenging. Look forward to returning.

definitely one of the better courses i play regularly. its a nice challenging course and recommend playing when you are able.

Played here 5 years ago, wanted to re-visit as I live an hour away. Classic old school design, need to shape tee shots to keep ball in the fairway, lots of rolling terrain and sloping greens to keep your interest. Excellent conditions and smooth greens make it worth the trip, will try to make it an annual visit. Staff was great, keep up the good work, did not get a chance to try restaurant, but looked inviting from the outside.

Bunkers - terrible- hard dry dirt!

Clearly this course is being cared for well. The fairways were cut half running towards the green and the other half back to towards the teeing grounds. A great visual effect and the lies were perfect. Extra divots had been sand filled. Greens were perfect, fast, and rolled true.

Staff was great. I booked a round an hour before on GOLFNOW and they welcomed me in right before they were having an event. Great Castle Pub, beautiful buildings and course. And you can express order a sandwich from the 9th tee waiting for you at the turn. Book it now.

Course was in excellent shape. Had difficulty stopping the ball on entrance shots and the greens were very fast. If you miss the cup, you have a lengthy comeback put.

You will use all your clubs on this well groomed course. Staff is great! Tough par 3's. Interesting

Very nice course, excellent condition, fast true greens.

This course is an old-style Golf Course, With a lot of elevation changes, tree-lined Fairways and small greens. It's a pretty tough course and will beat you up if you don't strike the ball well. Especially the par threes. But don't let me scare you from not playing here due to me not striking the ball well... It's a cool course and I would definitely come back. The restaurant is very nice and had pretty good food but it did take longer than normal for the food to come out. Even though we were the only people eating.
