About
Opened in 1923, Reading Country Club is one of the area's oldest golf courses. Located less than a half hour from King of Prussia, the course is easily accessible from anywhere in the greater Berks County area. Though it has a traditional layout that doesn't have the length that most modern courses do, that hasn't stopped it from being one of the most challenging public golf courses in Berks County. The rolling terrain provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course will test you with lightning fast, undulating greens that are protected by sand traps and there is punishing rough bordering the narrow, tree-lined fairways. Be prepared for uphill shots and blind approaches throughout the golf course. Reading Country Club's par 3s are especially notable for their difficulty.

Classic Old School Course
I have often felt the fan of old school courses should seek out any and all Alex Findlay courses and this one fits the bill. Several wild and unique greens to go with a great layout.
Reading CC
Enjoyed playing this course on visit over thanksgiving holiday. Good challenge and would return if in the area
Great place to play
Course is in great condition other than traps that need some additiional sand and raking. Friendly staff and new carts. Will definately return to play again.
Not what I remembered
Some of the sand traps they just gave up on? The rough was extremely long, every time someone missed the fairway it was a long search many times not finding ball. Greens and fairways were in good shape.
Lived nearby for 30 years and….
Never played Reading CC. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the layout and condition of the course. Some washout of traps from recent heavy, heavy downpours, but they are working on it. I thought the course was challenging with its hills and valleys coming into play to make shot selection paramount. Greens were in perfect condition with true roll. I am definitely playing here again!
Beautiful conditions / layout / clubhouse
Great course. Got a hot deal on weekend. Little slow on the back but greens and tee boxes were in perfect shape. Would recommend.

Course is in great shape and it is challenging especially putting .
Great placement of forward tees
Great placement of the forward tees! Most courses just throw the forward tees a few yards up but the placement at RCC was intentional and welcomed. Traveled over an hour to get there, will definitely be back.
