The course was in great shape, it's an awesome layout. With a 600 yard par 5 #10 and a 240 yard par 3 #11. You need to play well to score well. You will enjoy your day GV, give it a shot. You will be back.

Communication- Def! We arrived early from NY and they were quite apologetic that the course was log jammed and that there were no golf carts available. We were an hour early! We had a drink in the on site bar (friendly people there as well).

Golf staff were so accommodating and friendly and they did get us out earlier than our on line tee time! After 3+ hours in the car from NY and 9 holes my back was killing me. They said we can do the other 9 holes on Monday before our 3 hour ride home! Gentlemen! All of them!

Long course, but very open. Alot of grip and rip. Beautiful views, a nice place to play. Overall a good course and a good value

I usually play 6200 to 6400 and the golds were 6000 and whites 6600 yards, so I played whites and it was challenging . Especially when the wind comes in. Remember you are on a island so choose the tee's carefully. Other then that the track is pretty cool and conditions were great even though it is at the end of the year.

Course was in great shape. I got a hole in one on thevelth hole. That made the course special.

great course but we only got to play the first nine - rained like crazy.

The September weather was perfect and I got to play with two great guys, Mike and Fred. I had been in a league that played Green Valley for more than 15 years so I know the course pretty well. The entire course (greens, fairways and roughs) were in the process of being aerated - a necessary evil - so conditions were not ideal. We had to play the front 9 twice. The starter, Buster, does an outstanding job of keeping things moving and the guy in the pro-shop could not have been friendlier. The bunkers still need more sand - a long-standing problem (as Mike and Fred discovered) - and the 6th green still does not hold shots, including wedges. Other than that, you will find the condition and layout of the course to be competitive with the best courses in the RI area. The cups are cut every couple of days and the bunkers are raked and their edges manicured. I'm playing there again on Friday and look forward to seeing the greens at least partially healed by then. I highly recommend this course.

This was the first time I played this course. Wonderful layout, very fair, and through GolfNow got to play at a significant discount- woohoo!

This course has always been in great condition when I've played. My only negative is the neighboring farm which shoots off a propane gun to ward off the geese. It's annoying & loud.

On a busy weekend they had an inexperienced kid as starter. He told me to go out by myself as 4and 3 somes of men ( only) teed off. I offered that would not work well. In short, after another young man went into the pro shop regarding my starting and said a 3 some would play with me, I waited for half an hour +... and the starter had disappeared! I am a fairly good player,and offered that initially so as not to stall anyone's (men's) game.

I went back to the pro shop and asked for another day tee time or a refund. It was a lousy experience as a woman at this course. Never happened to me before.

The reason for 3 stars is for lack of notification of aeration! Now I understand it's a necessity but they need to let you know, especially when done in august and not September . I drove 45 mins to play on freshly spiked greens. Also more sets of tees on their huge tee boxes would help. Course is almost unnecessarily long on some holes. Course is otherwise is good condition and would play again.
