Green Valley Country Club

Played June 2, made a 744AM tee time, found out from starter that they dont let anyone off before 8AM, so keep that in mind if trying to play early. Was the 2nd group out after some members so pace of play wasnt an issue.

Its a long course, even from the whites, but it plays fair and the greens are in good condition. Rough off fairway was tough but overall nice course, challenging for sure but playable.

What a nice golf course, great long par 4 and 5 (400-550 yards) very flat and wide fairways very smooth greens.

This would have to be one of the best golf you are going to get absolutely tops.

My wife and are holiday in in Newport and the golf experience made our stay perfect.

A good club with a bar you beauty.

What a fantastic day at Green Valley. Staff was super friendly , Mike in pro shop and Buster the starter were very helpful and over the top accommodating!! Great job guys!! The course is the star here tho. Tee boxes and fairways were plush and in impeccable shape. Greens were quick and true and totally green. The course plays long on the card and on property. 6641 from whites. A lot of holes are straightforward so length is manageable. My favorite side is the back. Really picturesque par 3s and green complexes. We played on a very windy day. 30-40 mph gusts, actually used a 7 iron to get to the 4th pin 115 yards away!! This was a memorable day. I'd recommend this course to anyone who is in area. A+++

Played a tournament here Saturday and the course was perfect. Greens were spotless and rolling true. I play this course a lot and rarely have I seen it this nice. Great layout. Need long drives on some of the par 4s. Play it for sure.

Course is a bit wide open but played long 6900 yards, soft fairways windy conditions felt like 7200 yards lol But fair setup and fun challenge. Great value definitely will return for more play this summer

We drove 120 miles to play Green Valley simply because we read past reviews. It was worth the trip.

For December 19, the course was in excellent shape. There was no one there, of course, that late in the season, but there's no doubting that this is a fine lay out. It's got some length. While the layout is straightforward, there are challenges, especially on one's second shots. There is ample driving room. I would love to see it in mid-season, and I am sure I will. A great find!

I'm nearly certain this is the longest course I've ever played and I wish I rented a cart. It has a beautiful pastoral feel with wide open fairways and gentle hills that can only be appreciated while walking, but the holes are so long that you have to constantly be moving quickly in order to pace going.

A few negatives are that there aren't any restrooms on the course, there were no water containers, and there was no food or beverage cart service. It was a Wednesday afternoon in December, which may have been the reason.

I will definitely go back and will remember to rent a cart, use the restroom beforehand, and brought a drink.

Course was in great shape, greens had been plugged three weeks ago and were in great shape. Played 18 holes in 3:15. Looking forward to playing course again.

Played multiple times at this course. It always seems like either the starter is nowhere to be found or is a kid who is more interested in the game on the TV then what's happening on the course. Course is a nice challenging design. And quality is always good. They aerated the greens recently, which I don't complain about because that's how you keep a course in good shape, but it still would have been nice to get that information from the starter before I reach the 1st green. Hit up the deals on golf now and it's more than worth it. Wouldn't pay full price to play here.

Very friendly layout for the slicer which fit my tee game today. Very poor tee shots were find able and playable except on a couple of holes. Played the tips and course didn't play overly long except the 3 of the 4 par 3's all played over 200 yd's and the par 5's were all 550+, great test. Greens have just been airated this week so putting was very poor. Greens were large with undulation. Only in 1 greenside bunker all day but was good firm sand easy out. Pace of play for a nice sunny Saturday afternoon was very slow but somewhat expected due to the weather. Great value thru Golfnow.

We played this course for the first time and enjoyed it very much. It is no too difficult and is set up to play fast. The greens had been punched so they were not much fun. The rest of the course was great.
The rough is not long so as to punish players who stray.
I recommend this course.

The course had just been aerated so course conditions were poor. Had I know this I would not have made the tee time.

Nice layout but every green and fairways had just been aerated. This caused for numerous putts going all over the place. The aeration should have been on the GolfNow app.

Fairways plush and open for the most part. Approach shot key as many swails around greens if off direction. Also false fronts make front pins tough. Read greens carefully as grain direction pronounced. Have played there often and never over 4 hrs! Only flaw are bunkers nice sand but many rocks.

First visit. Paired with 3 great guys. Great time.

Great course for the hot deal price we paid. We went because of the reviews on here and they were right. Not a five star course but very very good.

Course is open but still challenging. Great condition. You can't beat the value.
