Great back nine.
Greens are very fast
Bunkers need more sand.
Second nine has 9 good holes.
If the bunkers were better it would be a great course.
Course crowded play slow some improving scene
We recently read that there were Menz being made into this course, so we wanted to check it out. This course has some challenging features and some really long holes. Unfortunately, sand traps are still pretty much dirt one or two new ones actually have nice white sand we hope to see more of that in the future. Play was very slow today. There were some groups of five and six and even eight on the course we observed so they didn’t appear to be Marshall to speed up play. Behind those groups. Several trees have been removed, but it doesn’t seem to improve play? Only seems to improve the aesthetics of the course the greens have improved since we were last year and are very fast and it’s good to see that there are free range balls included with your green fee. Nice cart Fairways this time of year are brown and fairly muddy in spots so your ball does roll but making good contact with your clubs on very short grass is challenging.
We will probably give it a try when things warm up and hopefully the course will not be , very slow next time
Punched Greens
I love this course and appreciate the deals on golf now. Only issue I had was that the greens had just been punched and sanded. Nothing was posted to let me know that until after I paid for the round and showed up This would have been better if they had told us of the conditions.
NOT RECOMMENDED
I have played this course MANY times, and have never been so appalled at the conditions. The greens were a solid 4/5, I will give them that. The fairways and rough hadn’t seen a mower for over a week, massive grass clumps in the fairways, unkempt and weedy tee boxes…it was absolutely terrible. I love this course and it’s a crying shame what it has come to.
