Pace of Play
Marshal was definitely needed pace of play was way too slow. Back 9 took almost 3 hours to play group in front got a hole behind multiple times.
Great round
Debbie and the staff are amazing!the course was in great shape, and pace of play was good.
Kern Golf Course
If you haven’t played here yet, you’re missing out! This is easily a must-visit spot in Kern County.
Here is the breakdown of why I’ll definitely be back:
The Vibe: Super friendly staff that makes you feel welcome from the moment you pull up.
The Views: It’s a beautiful, lush green course. Between the elevation changes and the wildlife sightings, there’s never a dull moment on the fairways.
The Range: Well-kept and perfectly marked—great for getting your eye in before the round.
The Extras: Do not skip the restaurant! The lunch is wonderful. Also, the Pro Shop is stocked with some awesome equipment and accessories if you're looking to upgrade your bag. 🏌️♂️

KRGC
Great food and traditional track makes for awesome round of golf.
Home Course
Love this place, i play here often since its 10 minutes away from my house. Its easy to play, no big hazards like water or huge bunkers. Never had an issue with staff or the course. Weekends just like any other course gets packed and you will have your ocasional slow players but overall its a fantastic golf course. I highly recommend.
Best full public course in bakersfield
Better than what you’d expect from Bakersfield public courses.
Pretty wide fairways but most par 4s play pretty long. Crowned greens make it so you need to hit good shots with lots of spin to stick the green. Bunkers while not great are better than the gravel offered at other courses around. Greens roll pretty wild depending on pin location and you’re going to get a few more 3 putts on what you would expect to be an easy lag.
If you get a hot deal you can’t expect any more from a public course.
Also whoever designed the course sliced their driver because every hole is a dogleg right except 2.
Fun shorter course
The course is always fun because of its shorter side, but offers a challenge with trees along the fairways at times. Pace of play is always an issue since there are trees along the fairway.
Fun but challenging and quirky.
Played on a Friday morning as a twosome. Used the driving range, which is grass but mostly dirt. Putting green was good. Course was in good condition, no complaints at the price point. Played from the white tees. 230 yard par 3 on 11 (tees were back from normal) and 219 yard par 3 on 17 are pretty long from the white tees on any course, especially with no elevation advantage. Some long par 4's as well, like the 458 par 4 3rd, which would be a par 5 at most munis. Staff were fabulous, from the cashier/starter to the cart/range guy and the girls at the grill. Food was good as well, and not overpriced like a lot of courses. I don't live in the area, played it on the way from SoCal to NoCal, but would definitely play again if I lived there.
