Not in good condition
I was surprised it was not in better condition. Greens need attention. The fairways had a lot of dead areas.
Rio Bravo Golf Course
Love this course this is the 4th time playing it. The layout & condition of the course excellent fairways & greens mowed & prepped beautifully green & lush. The staff very friendly the pro shop , club house & restaurant very nice and the price to play from GOLFNOW very affordable will continue to play the course at these prices. LOVE RIO BRAVO !!!!!
Rude Dude
Start with the good: greens were fantastic. Fast and true. Fairways were ok which had us bumping the ball in order to play from an even lie. Overall the course is in good shape.
Unfortunately, dude in the pro shop was rude and unwelcoming. Treated us like second class citizens and it might have been because we utilized GolfNow. First tee was empty and no other groups were to be seen. Said we couldn’t go off prior to our time. With about 7 minutes to go I asked if we could start and he said the foursome checking in was the time before us so we would have to wait. We were just two. He insisted that we go off after the foursome. The foursome recognized dude was wrong and being nasty so, of course they let us out in front. If they want the public play, then why do they make the public feel so unwelcome? Might need a more friendly pro shop.
Great layout, greens need more time
I love the layout! Pace of play was fabulous 4:15. Greens were punched a few weeks ago and still need time to grow in. Other than that everything was great.
Assaulted again
I have been assaulted twice by members and non members, I am going to re-open my first assault case...and prosecute to the fullest..it's a shame that staff let's the mob mentality rule.
Do not patronize this place , or you will promote this type of action.
Great layout
This course used to be in better shape, but still not a bad track. The course used to have lightening fast greens, but they're manageable these days (still ~10). The course features many elevation changes and hosts one of the most difficult par 5's around. Good to play with a local first time out as there are some surprising holes that require local knowledge. Fairways have sort of gone down in shape, but still manageable. Overall, a very fun course to play.
