Fairways were bad maybe from the rain but it could have been better
Rio Bravo golf course is a very good course to play and very fun even I am just a beginner. I will play as often as I can.
Good layout some greens in bad shape
Really enjoyed this course today play was very fast. Lots of rolling hills and wide fairways with some traps and water to challenge most golfers however, three or four of the greens really were in bad shape. All the other greens were in good shape and pretty fast would like to play when they get, the bad greens fixed
Great course
Have played here before. It is a great course with friendly staff! Can’t beat the price for a country club!
Fun Round!
Friendly staff, great customer service, and a wonderful and challenging course. Will play again!
green, clear, fun
After the recent rains, the air was clear and crisp. The ground was a little worn from the carts driving on soft ground. But, good pace, good weather and a wonderful time.
Mother Nature is wonderful.
This course is at the foothills. Because of all the recent rain, the course and hills were a lush green. The winds came up, yet it was fun. The greens were In good shape with long fairways. Then something warm to eat after the match.
Felt like a member
Landed a great deal on a slow day. Greens and fairways were very nice after a good amount of rain and sunshine. Been a while since I have seen grass on fairways because of the cold but Rio Bravo had it.
Didn’t get to walk the course due to lack of pushcarts to non members but that was alright, I had paid the cart fee anyways. Hope to get to walk it next time around, there will be a next time.
Very difficult course but really good condition. We got on the course as a hot deal so we paid $24. Cannot beat that price!
Ruff Ruff
There are quite a few barking dogs living on the golf course who do not like golfers, lol
Course is not in tiptop shape so I took liberty with improving my lie when necessary
There was no Marshall and sadly there was a group of 6 (not so good golfers) that were allowed to play together. This should not be allowed as it caused a back up behind that group and they were not interested in letting anyone play through.
Had a great time!
My wife and I had the course to ourselves, or so it felt that way. We had never played this course because as a private country club we didn’t have access. Fairways are very wide. Not difficult to play well. Thoughtful layout. Really enjoyed it. Condition was ok. With our extremely hot summers and drought conditions can’t really blame it on groundskeepers.
Nice Course but Greens Need Work
This is a beautiful, well outlined course. The people that work there are fantastic. The food is insanely good. But the greens are in such terrible shape. Played here in April and they were fine. Now the grass is sticking up like the rough. The holes are puckered and they are missing large swathes of grass. There were long line of short grass rows like they missed mowing them. Still, it was such a great experience I would definitely go back.
Love the course layout
Had an enjoyable round overall. Course is challenging but accessible. Only thing: the greens were fast but need some major TLC. Many of them were in horrible condition and some areas looked diseased.
Overall very good
Greens have a strange dry/cracked cancer at some areas, but course overall in good shape after a very hot summer
Nice faiways
For a desert course its not to bad. Greens are fast but have some pretty tore up areas. Food and drinks are good, waitstaff and pro shop is great.
Rio Bravo Country Club
I would recommend this golf course it's a great course fairways and greens in excellent condition will continue to play here
