Fun to Play
Marc Brady (PGA) and Kyle both work well with the public players. They are both friendly and efficient.
The starter is on top of his game and keeps the players on time at the first tee.
The course was pretty dry considering the wet weather we’ve had the past few weeks. The fairways were in pretty good shale for the middle of January. The greens were a little on the slow side but I’m sure the weather we are having keeps the maintenance guys off the course more often than not.
I believe we had a fivesome in front of us so it was a little slow playing which is highly unusual. Most days they have a ranger on the course who keeps everyone moving, which is a good thing.
I don’t get to Links O Tryon often enough to play but when I do, Im always ready to return as soon as I can. Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way and I don’t get back there for another 3-4 months.
Pleasant Surprise
Course in great shape for this time of year. Nice greens and a fun course to play. Will be back.
Golf at its best
We played this course in cold, wet, windy conditions, and it was an absolute gem. Staff was great. The course was in great condition, and we played 18 in less than 3 hrs comfortably. I’ve played there a lot, and will continue to do so.
Hidden Gem in the Upstate
Although a little out of the way, this course is always well maintained and has a fun layout. The greens for this time of the year are some of the best I have played. I recommend playing here if you haven’t been!
A Great Way to Spend A Beautiful November Day.
Great fun...greens could be a touch faster. I have never been so amazed at the # of ball marks on #15 (par 3)
Nice challenge
I play this course only 2 or 3 times a year, but it is always on good shape and is a fair test. The greens rolled nice and the fairways were in very good condition considering the storm that blew through only 2 days ago. The pro shop is always a friendly place. Great course and fun golfing.
Great day!
Very nice day, enjoyed the round, just a little too slow of the pace, and the greens were not as good as they used to be. still fun!
Great choice if your in the area
Not a true links style course. Maintained conditions. Easy layout, you don't have to draw or fade any shots. Not much scenery. Not much up and down elevation. Pretty mundane course but the conditions are really well. They try to make it feel like a Scottish course, and the clubhouse is pretty neat to see. Good course overall, worth about $35 at most.
